Alot of confusion on the floor
Pros: Definitely faster than a standard 7200 rpm drive (Mine arrived in nice bubble packing inside of its own box!) Zero hassle for someone who has trouble configuring SSD HHD dual drive setup with games and music and movies.
Cons: Wish there was better benchmarking software to show the drives strong points!
Overall Review: People keep benchmarking these drives like a SSD but the performance you achieve is not from random RW seeks The amazing part after you ignore the drive, reboot your computer 4 or 5 times over a period of a week and see your boot times slowly decrease until the windows loading logo never shows up because by the time the monitor kicks on your looking at the desktop. This is a learning drive, it is not fast when asked to do something new, its fast when repeating something its done before, like load a game you play every day and boot the computer.
Sticky Stuff...
Pros: It comes with a heat sink.
Cons: One of the stick was damaged when I received it. It looked like there was a sticky residue on the gold pins and there was no way I was sticking that in my new mobo.
Overclock
Pros: Cranked straight up to 4.5ghz with only a 0.025 Volt increase Runs cool on the Coolermaster hyper 212 evo at 55c under load
Cons: none
Overall Review: When the video card has 10 times more to do with gaming performance per $ why would you waste your money on intel? save your money on the processor and sink it into a good gpu!
11% slower than a 7950 for about $200 less
Pros: 11% slower than a 7950 for about $200 less
Cons: I miss the old rear exhaust enclosed heat sink design.
Overall Review: I think people may be handling their cards wrong to have this many DOA. As a tech I have seen people complain about ASUS motherboards being DOA after they forgot to use standoff screws for the case. Before you shout DOA did you work in a static free environment and use a anti static wrist strap and take care never to touch any gold connector pins or soldier on the pcb board??
seasonic used to mean no frills
Pros: fully modular, extreme silence! very attractive, cool features solid construction
Cons: the motherboard cable is sleeved but all the other cables are exposed plastic. Be careful of sharp edges in your case!
Overall Review: Seasonic used to mean simple but solid. Dependable and usually ugly. No more, this is one elegant PSU that comes in a velvet bag.
best bang for your buck
Pros: Amazing cooling performance for the price. Closest you can get to liquid cooling performance with air.
Cons: It's big, but more surface area means better heat dissipation, so is it really a con? the heat pipe tips scratch up the noise isolation foam on an nzxt h230 case BUT IT FITS!
Overall Review: If anyone is not impressed with the performance of this cpu heat sink they are doing it wrong.
