Good little computer
Pros: The N2600 is one of the better Atom's out right now and is more than capable of any normal web browsing or word processing. The reason this computer loses an egg for me is that it does not have the D2700 in it. There really isn't a good reason for not having the best Atom.
Cons: These NM10 boards are notorious for ONLY have proper video drivers for Windows 7 32-bit. If you use an external monitor, be prepared for a severe lack in resolutions. This is another reason I can't give this netbook a 5/5.
Overall Review: I have 4GB of 1066 in mine, but I had to flash the bios to the latest version to get the support. I am running Windows 8 x64, but had to flash bios to latest version to unlock 64-bit support. I also installed an SSD which makes this a very fun toy. Be warned though, if you want to change the hard drive.. look up a video on youtube to see how! The teardown of this netbook was surprisingly complicated and delicate. So do your homework before opening this thing up.
Not for AMD
Pros: Gains two eggs for its performance, aesthetic, and noise level - very quiet fan.
Cons: The AMD mounting clips aren't shaped correctly. There should be a dip of just shy of quarter inch (see the intel clips) but this is not present for the AMD clips. What this means is that you will be pressing down on this thing with all of your body weight (I had two people pushing down on it) trying to get the screw into the threads. And you can't screw it down all the way without putting your motherboard/cpu under some serious strain. This just is not acceptable. I finally got mine mounted but am buying a replacement today.
Overall Review: My advice for any AMD people out there is to only buy heatsinks that mount to the traditional AM3 style bracket - anything that has you replace the bracket should be avoided imo. I'm sure I'll get the boilerplate q/a response to this, but do not buy this product for an AMD processor!
Overpriced
Pros: Wasn't broken during shipping. Drive bay is easily removable.
Cons: Front panel display looks and is very cheap. I ended up just unplugging it. There is also a built in case speaker that whines when fan speeds drop - another reason to unplug the front display.
Overall Review: For what you get this really feels a bit overpriced.
Great quality and size
Pros: Solid construction with pieces that lock tightly together. Very simple setup and a great price.
Cons: None.
Windows 7 x32 ONLY
Pros: D2700 is the single best Atom out right now and it shows. USB 3 is neat as well.
Cons: Do not even bother with this board unless you have a copy of Windows 7 32-bit on hand. The reason is (as stated in the description) there are no graphics drivers available for ANY other OS. This is solely Intel's fault and there is a huge outcry if you search forums on this. ASRock did a good job as usual with this board, it's just a matter of Intel getting around to providing some more GMA 3650 drivers.
Overall Review: The UEFI is very minimal, not much you can tweak here, but that isn't really a problem. If you want to install a 64-bit OS, you will have to flash the UEFI to the latest version.
Working Great So Far
Pros: Actually fit on my Asus A8N-E which is a very hard board on which to replace the chipset heatsink.
Cons: Only real issue I have with it is that the fan is pretty loud. This wouldn't normally be an issue, except that the fan is 35mm which is an almost impossible dimension to find a replacement for. Easily the loudest fan on my rig, but at least it fits on my mobo.
Overall Review: I used Arctic Silver 5 instead of the included thermal grease. I'm very tempted to buy the model without the fan since I don't overclock and see if that is sufficient.
