CORSAIR Dominator Platinum 16GB (2 x 8GB) DDR3 1866 (PC3 14900) Desktop Memory Model CMD16GX3M2A1866C9

Pros: Good performance. Nice heat spreaders with lights on them. No complaints so far.

Cons: Market watchers are saying RAM prices are probably going to go up. Get it while it's cheap!

Pathetic

Rosewill 5.1-Channel Vibrating Gaming Headset- USB Connector - RHTS-8206
Rosewill 5.1-Channel Vibrating Gaming Headset- USB Connector - RHTS-8206

Pros: Very Comfortable fit Vibration feedback is a cool novelty

Cons: HORRIBLE mic. I was excited to pull this headset out of the box as it was delivered today and am thoroughly disappointed. None of my friends could understand what I was saying and the sound from the mic was garbled and unintelligible. With vibration feedback enabled - lots of distortion and feedback added to sound. Sound itself was mediocre at best.

Overall Review: This is the only product I have bought from Newegg yet I was so disgusted with. I hope I can return it.

Great card so far.

GIGABYTE GeForce GTX 1080 G1 Gaming GV-N1080G1 GAMING-8GD Video Card
GIGABYTE GeForce GTX 1080 G1 Gaming GV-N1080G1 GAMING-8GD Video Card

Pros: -It's a fast card. I'm getting 300+ FPS in War Thunder with all the settings maxed and every quality box checked and 3440x1440 resolution (except AA is OFF since the resolution makes up for it and I see no "jaggies"). -Power draw is lower than my previous 780GTX that was replaced!

Cons: -I haven't had to use their tech support so I can't comment...

Overall Review: Gigabyte support please read this!! Someone else reported stuttering, and I experienced it too. It would start slowly and increase in frequency and intensity in game. I'm running an i7-4770 (NOT K). This processor is about the lowest you can run with this card and not be throttled by the processor. I was also getting 320+ FPS at the time of the stutters, and an audio stutter was present too, so I strongly suspected it had nothing to do with my card, more with the platform or CPU. I poured through the BIOS settings in my computer and at some point speed step had been turned on. Once turned off all stuttering stopped. I suspect as the CPU is attempting to throttle up and down since it is at or near max bandwidth the data transfer to the GPU gets corrupted somehow. The system would stutter and mouse movement would momentarily freeze in the OS as well after playing games. For some reason I am unable to upgrade to the anniversary edition of windows. Consistently at about 80% completion, the error I get is "a system memory, graphics memory, or CPU cache error." I pulled/swapped/isolated all my DIMMs and tried a different (integrated) GPU, same result. This further confirms to me that it is a processor or platform problem not a GPU problem, hence I will upgrade my platform soon. I have nothing to compare it to, so no comment on how it compares to other cards. My gut feeling it is pretty "stock" so if I could I would give it 4.5 eggs.

Good card

EVGA GeForce GTX 670 2GB GDDR5 PCI Express 3.0 x16 SLI Support Graphics Card 02G-P4-2670-KR
EVGA GeForce GTX 670 2GB GDDR5 PCI Express 3.0 x16 SLI Support Graphics Card 02G-P4-2670-KR

Pros: Nice GPU, you can tell by the packaging and design that EVGA puts out a quality product. There was definitely a "Wow" factor as I opened up the box. I am running all my games at 1920x1200 with setting most of the way up. EVGA provides some very nice and useful utilities that you may actually want to install. Metro is a good game. The warranty ROCKS.

Cons: Performance is great other than a single anomaly in the game War Thunder with the particle physics frame rates would suddenly drop from 70-100 fps to single digits. Not good in an online game. I cranked down the settings and it disappeared...but kind of a letdown after just upgrading my rig. In Metro Last light the same thing happened. The solution wasn't as evident as with war thunder but after some tweaking and eventually figured it out. In those two games for awhile my laptop with a GeForce 680m was performing better (but at lower resolution). Newer drivers and a relaxation of the settings has since fixed this - so I think it was a driver issue. I tend to agree that this card is probably overpriced for the performance I've seen so far. Metro is nice...but look what AMD/Radeon is packaging with their cards... :/

Overall Review: I really struggled over which card to buy with my new rig. I'm not disappointed with this card and would still recommend it to someone, but I might make a different decision if I had it to do over, especially with the new cards in the 700 series out now.

Nice

Intel Core i7-4770 - Core i7 4th Gen Haswell Quad-Core 3.4 GHz LGA 1150 84W Intel HD Graphics Desktop Processor - BX80646I74770
Intel Core i7-4770 - Core i7 4th Gen Haswell Quad-Core 3.4 GHz LGA 1150 84W Intel HD Graphics Desktop Processor - BX80646I74770

Pros: Good performance. I hear the integrated GPU isn't too bad. Nice processor overall very happy with it.

Cons: Lament the end of separate mobile and desktop lines. I think with the design and architecture changes Intel has made here - it is clear they are going to merge desktop and laptop CPU lines. Who knows if this is a good thing or not... Another stupid socket. Really Intel, could you please not change the socket every couple years?!?!

Overall Review: Buy the K if you want to overclock. Intel has merged several power management functions onto the CPU with this line. Just be aware that as a result it will actually run hotter than an equivalent Ivy Bridge chip. This is by design but something to be aware of.

Quality!

Seasonic SS-760XP2 ATX 12V/EPS 12V, 760W, 80 PLUS PLATINUM Full Modular certified Active PFC Power Supply New 4th Gen CPU Certified Haswell Ready
Seasonic SS-760XP2 ATX 12V/EPS 12V, 760W, 80 PLUS PLATINUM Full Modular certified Active PFC Power Supply New 4th Gen CPU Certified Haswell Ready

Pros: Honestly I've wanted to put a Seasonic PSU in my computer for my last 2 computer builds but 2 things held me back - price and lack of modular cables (at the time). This is my first Seasonic and I was not disappointed at all. As soon as I opened the box it just screamed quality and attention to detal, from the packaging to the feel of the product itself. Everything is organized well and works great. Very stable power and a quality PSU. I would very highly recommend this PSU to anyone anytime.

Cons: It was a very minor thing but the cables are labeled very well, but where you plug them into the PSU itself is not labeled as clearly. It took a little trial and error for a couple of the cables, but it wasn't too hard to figure out. Color coding the ports and cables or lablelling them slightly better might help speed things up.

Overall Review: All the modualar cables come in a very nice velcro-flap bag and are organized very well. Originally this was a big part of the "WOW" factor when I opened the box. After I had used over 1/2 the cables, I had this big, nice cable bag that was barely 1/2 full and kind of impractical now. Why did they include such a big bag when you are guaranteed to use at least 1/2 the cables for motherboard, drives, and probably GPU? Not really a plus after that but definitely not a minus in any way. Seasonic - maybe split the bag into 2 smaller ones?
