Logitech K270 Wireless Keyboard for Windows, 2.4 GHz Wireless, Full-Size, Number Pad, 8 Multimedia Keys, 2-Year Battery Life, Compatible with PC, Laptop
Logitech K270 Wireless Keyboard for Windows, 2.4 GHz Wireless, Full-Size, Number Pad, 8 Multimedia Keys, 2-Year Battery Life, Compatible with PC, Laptop

Pros: -Very simple to setup, just plug in the included mini USB receiver and your computer does the rest. -Came with 2 AAA batteries and an easy to find battery slot. -Also has a handy feature bar on top to access your homepage, Outlook, Sleep Button, and Calculator.

Cons: -Board is rather flimsy and all the plastic feels cheap but for a $30 wireless keyboard there's really not much to be expected as far as quality goes. -No palm rest for extended periods of typing but once again, it's not worth an egg, just a minor annoyance.

Overall Review: You can never go wrong with Logitech most of the time.

It makes music

Rosewill RCR-AK-IM5002 USB2.0 75 in 1 internal Card Reader w/ 3 ports USB2.0 Hub / eSATA port / Extra silver face plate / SATA Power
Rosewill RCR-AK-IM5002 USB2.0 75 in 1 internal Card Reader w/ 3 ports USB2.0 Hub / eSATA port / Extra silver face plate / SATA Power

Pros: Nice little beeping tone to let you know when it's working.

Cons: Nice little beeping tone to let you know when it's not working. A good concept that unfortunately Rosewill has yet to evaluate themselves, as this card reader seems to work with about 40% of the computers it's installed in. I received this as a birthday gift from my father and we were both excited to finally be able to read the cards from our digital cameras without having to plug them in via USB. But no matter what I tried altering in the bios or adjusting settings under Disk Management, it still wouldn't properly connect. My advice? Spend the extra money and get a decent rated card reader.

Overall Review: My dad's upset with himself that the reader won't work.

Lasted 2 years when new

Death to rubber domes

CM Storm QuickFire Rapid - Compact Mechanical Gaming Keyboard with CHERRY MX Blue Switches
CM Storm QuickFire Rapid - Compact Mechanical Gaming Keyboard with CHERRY MX Blue Switches

Pros: - Mechanical Cherry MX Blue switches - Tenkeyless (more ergonomic for mouse usage) - Rubberized keyboard surface - Solidly built, no flex at all in the board - Detachable USB cable, with a USB to PS/2 converter for N-Key Rollover capability - Media keys

Cons: - Logos everywhere, I feel like I bought a keyboard from A&F. - Raised lettering on keys, especially the space bar, are a little odd to type on at first. - Tenkeyless, that is, if you ever use the number pad for anything.

Overall Review: This is a great keyboard, one so solidly built that it will last for many years throughout the upgrades to your system. Just recently made the switch to mechanical keyboards, and am loving the feedback from the switches so far. Many people I'm sure won't buy this board based on the price, lack of back lighting, and numerous useless macro keys. But for those who do are in for a high quality treat.

Good OS

Microsoft Windows 7 Home Premium SP1 64-bit
Microsoft Windows 7 Home Premium SP1 64-bit

Pros: Easy to use, fast to install.

Cons: Updates were a pain with restarting but that's expected for the first couple system boots.

Good RAM

HyperX X2 Grey Series 4GB (2 x 2GB) DDR3 1600 Desktop Memory Model KHX1600C9D3X2K2/4GX

Pros: Good RAM for a good price. Looks nice too, but that doesn't really matter unless you have a side window for your case.

Cons: Installation was a little odd, I had to push harder then I normally do to get the DIMMs to seat.
