EVERCOOL VC-RE Ball All In One Vga Cooler Kit
  • neweggOwned For: more than 1 year

5 out of 5 eggs This thing is a champ. 08/04/2010

This review is from: EVERCOOL VC-RE Ball All In One Vga Cooler Kit

Pros: This thing is cheap (thinking about "value" here, not price), does what it's built to do and has been doing it for me for over 3.5 years. Bought it to replace the stock chipset cooler on my Dfi Lanparty mobo. Dfi had put a rather cheap cooler on there and it was both loud and ineffective. This thing has been on ever since and it's run almost 24/7/365 without a hitch.

Cons: None that I can think of. If it shucks out tomrrow I may change my mind, but it's made a good run so far so I'm not expecting anything.

Other Thoughts: I'm glad to see they're still making/selling them. I'm a free-marketeer at heart, so it's good to see a product do well that, from my standpoint anyway, does what it's customers want it to do at a fair price.

COOLMAX HC-301 Aluminum Alloy Aluminum Hard Disk Driver Cooler
  • Verified Owner
  • neweggOwned For: 1 week to 1 month

4 out of 5 eggs Nice little cooler 06/25/2007

This review is from: COOLMAX HC-301 Aluminum Alloy Aluminum Hard Disk Driver Cooler

Pros: Rather sleek design. Would be nice if it came in different colors, but blue looks pretty good. The fans are pretty dang quiet, and move a suprising amount of air.

Cons: The two fans are spliced into the same molex connector. That's good, but the splices are rather weak. On the first install, the ground wire of one of the fans pulled out of the heat-shrink and I had to re-attach it.

Other Thoughts: For under 10 bucks, it'd be hard to beat this thing.
