Cooler Master Elite 430 - Mid Tower Computer Case with All-Black Interior and Windowed Side Panel
  • Verified Owner
  • neweggOwned For: 1 month to 1 year

Pros: - solid frame construction (side panels feel they would bend easily if I had some kind of an accident)
- objectively visually appealing
- low price for high tier manufacturer
- lots of mounting locations for fans
- dust filters for most fan locations

Cons: - only comes with one fan (120mm front w/ blue light)
- limited space behind motherboard tray
- no USB 3.0 ports
- despite having 7 HDD/SSD bays there are only 3 sets of mounting clips

Other Thoughts: [DISCLAIMER: I am inexperienced with custom build PCs and not formally educated however I am not without a working brain and know how to use it and Google effectively.] I am satisfied with this purchase and feel the product was worth the cost. I moved my build to this case from a Micro-ATX and I really appreciated the extra space. Most of the things I do not like about this case is information I could have/should have been aware of because the specs are clear. The problems were that the case only has 1 fan, I could not properly mount my 2.5" SSD and there are no USB3.0 ports on the front. I did still list the fan and USB points under cons because they are but my frustration at the time does not effect my score of the case overall. If you are considering purchasing this case you should put more fans in if only a small exhaust on the top or back. I had spares to install but if you have to buy fans I would count that towards the cost when comparing to other potential purchases. The construction of the case felt sturdy. It is not very heavy while at the same time doesn't feel fragile. Once I started building in it I found that the side panels a little flimsy. They bend easily and could likely get dented, bent or broken if you are careless. The full metal side that goes behind the motherboard tray has some bow to it now from the wire bulge I made in my best attempt at cable management. I also was concerned with removing the cut outs for expansion slots that I was going to damage the I/O shield.

All in all I really like this case. What I want is just simply a box to put my computer in that is inexpensive, good quality and looks "cool" without being over the top. This will be my case for a long time to come.

EVGA GeForce 7600GT DirectX 9 256-P2-N550-RX 256MB 128-Bit GDDR3 PCI Express x16 SLI Support Video Card
  • Verified Owner
  • neweggOwned For: 1 week to 1 month

Pros: -Good Price
-Worked out of the Bag
-Gave a little more life to an old PC

Cons: -Nothing

Other Thoughts: I didn't realize I had the wrong DVI cable. Bought a new DVI cable from Newegg and that was the wrong one too. I gave up on using the card and found out I got the right DVI cable with my monitor I got a year ago. So a tip to any amateur builders like me is don't be an amateur like me.
