Most Favorable Review

Very Satisfied

Intel Core i7-2600K - Core i7 2nd Gen Sandy Bridge Quad-Core 3.4GHz (3.8GHz Turbo Boost) LGA 1155 95W Intel HD Graphics 3000 Desktop Processor - BX80623I72600K
Intel Core i7-2600K - Core i7 2nd Gen Sandy Bridge Quad-Core 3.4GHz (3.8GHz Turbo Boost) LGA 1155 95W Intel HD Graphics 3000 Desktop Processor - BX80623I72600K

Pros: Easy installation, as always. Not a whole to say here. It's an Intel chip, so you expect it to be stellar, and it is. Overclocking capability, which is nice. Able to overclock without much extra heat (maybe 5-10 degrees celcius). Runs cool, at around 29-35 degrees, overclocked to 3.8 Ghz. Really good investment. Can't say much about the built in graphics, as I use a stand alone GPU.

Cons: None.

Overall Review: On paper and benchmarks, the difference between this chip and it's i5 counterpart doesn't appear to be that different. I can tell you from experience (I've owned both) that this chip vastly outperforms the i5 from the same generation of chips.

Somewhat dissapointed

Rosewill RX850-S-B - Xtreme Series 850-Watt Active PFC Power Supply - Continuous @ 104 Deg. F (40C), 80 PLUS Bronze, ATX 12V v2.2 & EPS 12V v2.91, SLI & CrossFire-Ready, Compatible with Core i7, i5
Rosewill RX850-S-B - Xtreme Series 850-Watt Active PFC Power Supply - Continuous @ 104 Deg. F (40C), 80 PLUS Bronze, ATX 12V v2.2 & EPS 12V v2.91, SLI & CrossFire-Ready, Compatible with Core i7, i5

Pros: Provides my computer with power...that's about it.

Cons: I have used Rosewill products in the past with very few issues, but I have had issues with this power supply since it's unboxing. At first, I couldn't get the pc to turn on. After some "tinkering" I was able to get the PSU to work. Once it finally fired up for the first time, there was a loud clicking noise coming from inside the unit. After investigating, I found a loose piece of what looked like shrink wrap inside. I removed this with a set of tweezers, and that cut down on some of the noise. The fan is still very loud at times. By the time I made up my mind that I should RMA, it was too late. I have been having sporadic power issues (restarts, drives not being recognized, random freezes and hangs).

Overall Review: Overall, I believe that Rosewill is a good company, but I was very dissatisfied with this PSU. For $189.00 I expected more...a lot more.

Great Unit

CORSAIR RM Series RM650 650 W ATX12V v2.31 and EPS 2.92 80 PLUS GOLD Certified Full Modular Active PFC Power Supply
CORSAIR RM Series RM650 650 W ATX12V v2.31 and EPS 2.92 80 PLUS GOLD Certified Full Modular Active PFC Power Supply

Pros: Very clean installation. The modular design is a great improvement over the "standard" cord configuration that comes on non-modular PSU's. This replaced an 850W 80+ standard rating PSU, and it does just fine. I was actually surprised that I could drop 200W and still get the same performance. At $119.00, the price is really reasonable for what you get with this unit. Overall, I am very glad I chose Corsair.

Cons: None so far. I have only had this unit for a few days, so we will see. I am not one to just sit around and "wait" for things to fail. So, don't expect to hear back from me on this.

Overall Review: I was up in the air over several different manufacturers. I'm glad I chose Corsair. Their build quality and attention to detail seems to be very visible in the products they deliver.

Cooler than the other side of the pillow

Cooler Master Hyper 212 Evo CPU Cooler, 4 CDC Heatpipes, 120mm PWM Fan, Aluminum Fins for AMD Ryzen/Intel LGA1200/1151
Cooler Master Hyper 212 Evo CPU Cooler, 4 CDC Heatpipes, 120mm PWM Fan, Aluminum Fins for AMD Ryzen/Intel LGA1200/1151

Pros: Cool design. Cooler Master makes great products. Great price point for this product. I have my i7 2600K overclocked to 3.8 Ghz, and it runs between 32-40 degrees under continuous heavy loads.

Cons: Overall a great product. There are 2 reasons I docked this product an egg. First, and this may partly be my fault, but the way that I had to orient the unit in my case made it block one of my memory slots. Not a big deal since I only use 2 modules, I just used slots 2 and 4 instead of 1 and 3. Second, no matter how tight i get the screws, I can still torque the cooler back and forth, which is a little unnerving. It takes a moderate amount of torque, but it moves, and that just makes me uneasy. Hasn't caused a problem so far, as you see above, it still cools fine.

Overall Review: Overall, easy to install, and a great buy at this price point.

Good Board

MSI P67A-G43 (B3) LGA 1155 Intel P67 USB 3.0 ATX Intel Motherboard
MSI P67A-G43 (B3) LGA 1155 Intel P67 USB 3.0 ATX Intel Motherboard

Pros: Good solid board. For the price, it would be hard to beat the features that you get with this one. The GUI based BIOS is nice too.

Cons: MSI update software is slow with certain 3rd party downloads.. This is a REALLY nice feature, but the download speeds for some of the drivers are unrealistically long. It would be quicker to just go to the manufacture website for download.

Overall Review: All-in-All this is a good board, and for the money, is plenty fast, and reliable.

Awesome Memory

G.SKILL Ripjaws X Series 8GB (2 x 4GB) DDR3 1333 (PC3 10666) Desktop Memory Model F3-10666CL7D-8GBXH
G.SKILL Ripjaws X Series 8GB (2 x 4GB) DDR3 1333 (PC3 10666) Desktop Memory Model F3-10666CL7D-8GBXH

Pros: Very fast and reliable memory. Don't let the 1333 speed fool you, this memory has great latency time and is very very stable. I have had my system running for almost a month now, with only having to let it sleep, and the system is yet to lock up. GREAT VALUE.

Cons: Not really a con, but I had to change a setting on my MOBO to get the memory to clock right. One little change and bingo, running at advertised speeds and latencies.
