Absolutely fantastic! :)
Pros: This is the best laptop I have ever used. I'm a pretty hardcore gamer but not looking to pay the price for Alienware ect. This laptop plays WoW in full detail with no hiccups. The RADEON graphics card is a 128bit bus, BUT due to the native res on this laptop, wont effect your memory bandwith at all! Keyboard is the BEST i've ever seen on a laptop, BUY THIS. You will not be disappointed!!! :)
Cons: None. They did this perfect for the "value" gamer looking to get his hands on a very very nice functioning laptop for a low-price.
Overall Review: Runs cool. I used to have the gateway FX 7805. Dont get me wrong real nice laptop, but for the price difference and size, style differences...this one takes it. :) ***RADEON IS GDD3!!!*** 1 gig dedicated.
5 out of 5 stars!!! Review from a game tech builder.
Pros: Dead silent HEAVY overclocker! low-zero coil whine GREAT look light weight (no sag) good warranty great company low low price for a 960
Cons: none
Overall Review: I have been building computers since the days of DOS and 386's. I usually build gaming comps for business and gaming enthusiast but this card was for me. I have tried the majority of all the newer cards. 970, 280x, 680, 670 270x crossfire ect... This card...if you are a gamer at 1080p, IS the card to get. Yes the 970 was an absolute beast, but I game on a 42 inch 1080p. I get 60+ fps in almost all my games with MAX detail Heroes of the Storm 80-150fps!!! I have mine overclocked to 1542mhz/7900mhz ram. If you want a low power, low heat output, and a smooth as butter experience; grab this card!!! P.S. ALL the 960's are pretty good overclockers, they will ALL hit 1450+mhz if you do them right. enjoy, and remember; if you are'nt gaming over 1080p...do NOT buy the 970!!! Its unnecessary.
BEST gaming computer hands-down for the price!!! :)
Pros: Geforce 650m overclocks to 660m, DDR5 2gb Ivy Bridge CPU..overclocks to 3.4ghz quad-core backlit keyboard, BRIGHT lcd aluminum casing, black, silver NICE chiclet- curved keyboard. Windows 8 64bit version WITH disk in box 1 year ON-SITE Dell warranty
Cons: The ONLY thing would be battery life. It has a flush mounted battery so its not bulging out but it only lasts a couple/few hours on internet ect. But then again its a 17 inch so get over it :)
Overall Review: I originally purchased a RE-furbished G73 and G74. (yes I had 2 of them) and those things are just an absolute WRECK as refurbs'. I'm not sure who is doing their repair work but I will NEVER touch one of them again. They both went back and I picked up this computer. My goodness am I shocked!!! I cannot believe the hardware (and support) you get with this machine. Its 100% rock stable, runs cool, has very very limited bloatware, and plays ANY game out there. I have ALWAYS been impressed with DELL laptops. Yes I know they are pre-manufactured BUT the aluminum casing XPS gaming ones (from years ago) ect were VERY reliable. In fact I still have my 9200 rocking away with an old single core and radeon 9700m in it. I'm telling you, BUY THIS MACHINE if you are looking for a gaming on the go laptop that does NOT look like some kinda of "kiddie" toy. They really dont make the gaming XPS machines anymore and this is the replacement from what I understand. This is the SPECIAL EDITION version. JUST BUY IT!!! I cant say much more! :)
Phenomenal for a computer monitor!!! :)
Pros: Very light, low heat output. Sits flat on my desk with stand NOT required. Multiple options for viewing pleasure sharpness vibrant color on/off light sensor (so you can really make it bright) runs as a TRUE monitor once hooked up to vga port to video card (was running this 1920x1200 but settled down to 1920x1080) Actually has a GAMER and GRAPHICS setting
Cons: little thicker than the newer monitors other than that....I got mine elsewhere for cheaper :( Love newegg though.
Overall Review: I was on the hunt for a name-brand COMPUTER-MONITOR worthy lcd-tv. This is'nt LED but the picture is crystal clear. You will be hard pressed to find another lcd tv that looks and acts just like my old 27 inch monitor. Best monitor ever :) buy it now!!!!
Almost RMA'd but modded to fit perfectly.
Pros: LOUD Booming Bass!!! Shakes head with vibration. Clear, digital 5.1 sound. Makes Every game I have THAT much more enjoyable. (especially Space Marine 40k, talk about BOOM)
Cons: Small earmuffs Heavy headset May have to "bend" the headband to make it fit loose. CHEAP fuzzy material, think i'm gonna find a way to add my own modification here as well later. I put these in for an RMA but finally decided to "bend" the headband forcefully. Well this did in fact work but just be careful when you do it. Its a "metal" band that needs to be "bent" if yours is too tight. Hope this helps. (just be careful doing it! I unscrewed my headphone pads and grabbed from the "top" sides of the band. Grasp on the "S" and "D" of the big lettering ontop. This WILL fix the fit problem if its killing your ears. :)
Overall Review: I am a music composer so I have a seperate audio interface to write/compose music with. These headphones are in NO WAY designed for music authentic sound/music reproduction BUT for gaming they are fantastic. I use my studio monitors for composition work-but those are designed for "flat" sounding work, these are for my "gaming". :) Buy them, for the price you wont find a better setup for your true 5.1 sound and LOUD booming bass. Great product.
the best deal on newegg hands down. :)
Pros: Easily overclockable with provided software. Even the GPU can be overclocked nicely after a quick asus bios upgrade. Great machine, and plays any game on the market.
Cons: None really. Some may find the 1440x900 resolution is a bad deal but honestly, do you really want to squint at 1920x1080 on a 17 inch screen and stress your GPU??? bought 2 of these, amazing deal.
