Pretty good.
Pros: Compared to the $3 one at malwart it tracks more distance per mouse movement. The malwart cheapo one had the same rubber base, the same chemical smell and nearly the same top surface. The only difference was a 30% improvement in tracking and a slightly bigger pad.
Cons: It may not be worth the extra money compared to just getting one at the local super-store. If you are a professional gamer this isn't good enough, if you are an office drone, it probably doesn't matter much either. It is like the .40 cal bullet of mouse pads. It is a little bigger, not much better than a 9mm and more expensive. malwart cheapo laid flatter right out of the box, corsair shipped theirs in a tube. Still warped after 24 hours.
2 died in 4 months.
Pros: It is really cheap. The RMA process is painless and their staff is really nice.
Cons: I cannot trust it to stay alive for more than a couple months.
Overall Review: By the book operation and it still dies. Resided in wii for 2 months no problems. Used an SDHC card reader to add 3 1GB files. Wait 3 minutes for good measure and click the safely remove hardware icon. Wait until it says go ahead and I remove the entire usb thing. Then I pull out the card, place it in the little carry case and transport it 6 blocks in my car to have it die.
160mb/s sustained write speeds!
Pros: I use this as an internal drive and after some tweaks to settings and some minor difficulties with the voltage on the rail... it works really really well.
Cons: Power hungry little rascal. Make sure you have enough amperage on your PSU left for it. I estimate about 11 watts or another 2.2 amps off the 5v rail.
Overall Review: I always stress test drives to make sure they are going to not give out on me. The drive is performing very well on SATA. Almost 60% full without issue so far.
Not a clean install.
Pros: Toshiba utilities are actually pretty handy. The bulletin board shows you all the firmware and software updates you should get instead of manually tracking them down on the support site. The screen is gorgeous. Was able to burn a DVD on battery. Quad core with hyper threading shows up as 8 cores in taskmananger, 5.9 windows performance score because the hard drive is sluggish.
Cons: Had to uninstall almost a dozen programs to get rid of all the stupid stuff. The skype sticker is REALLY annoying to take off.
Overall Review: Avatar Blue Ray playback was bad. Static sound and slow unresponsive menus. This is more blue rays fault than any ones, they need to give VLC the secret sauce for BD authoring so we can get some decent playback. *VLC works great for bluray now.
Holding strong after months of use.
Pros: Faster than HDDs. Was able to get a killer deal on this. File transfers are much faster. Less heat in my tower.
Cons: Unlike other SSDs it didn't come with hand software to move the OS and files over, using third party tools I had no issues doing it myself.
Overall Review: You should probably do a clean install anyway. No firmware updates released for it. I am not sure if that means they can't find many issues with it, or they just don't stand by their product. Still no issues as of November 2017.
Burns BD disks.
Pros: Fast DVD rips, burns clean BD, and is pretty quiet compared to other drives I have owned.
Cons: None yet.
Overall Review: Sorting through newegg's broken browsing gui, you will find many disk drives that do not burn BD under the heading BD burner.
Exact OEM replacement for obscure part. Super fast shipping from China.
Only took 6 days to get from China to central United States. Seller included free extras for the part. Care was taken to ensure the part got to me unharmed and is in perfect condition. I am actually amazed by this seller.
