Very bad customer service and the board is worthless
Pros: Purchased the motherboard with a rebate, therefore I didn’t lose as much money as I would have without one.
Cons: I purchased the motherboard. I bought it for a build to give as a gift, and I wanted to keep the price under three hundred (without peripherals), so I purchased this board because of the rebate. In week one the board died, and in the process emitted a burnt smell and a loud noise (sounded like a wire hitting the CPU fan, unfortunately it was not).Then the quest for warranty repair service began.
Overall Review: First I went to their rma website and tried to create a new customer account to no avail. I then called the company, spoke to a representative whom offered no help and then transferred me to a voice mail account, fine, I left a message and then waited patiently. I received no response. Then I sent them a fax explaining my situation with all necessary info to start the rma process. Afterwards an email was sent to me with their apologies stating that I have to request an rma thru their website, and that they are also experiencing problems with the site, so I should wait and try again. I waited over a week; finally I was able to request an rma. 2 weeks later and still no rma return # has been sent. I have given up my quest, but I have learned something: DON'T BUY ABIT PRODUCTS EVER.
