so far so good

Seagate Samsung Spinpoint M8 ST1000LM024 (HN-M101MBB/EX2) 1TB 5400 RPM 8MB Cache SATA 6.0Gb/s 2.5" Internal Notebook Hard Drive Bare Drive

Pros: whisper quiet operation, decent read/write speeds

Cons: none yet

Overall Review: i bought this drive to replace the 320GB HD that was in my ps3. one piece of advice if you buy this drive for use in a PS3 system; the system software is installed in a partition on the hd, so before you take out the original hard drive make sure to download the latest system software from the Sony site or else you will be stuck in a no system software loop. the instructions on their site explains the fairly easy system software install procedure. would definitely recommend this drive.

not bad

Vantec NexStar TX 2.5" SATA to USB 2.0 External Hard Drive / SSD Enclosure - Model NST-210S2-BK
Vantec NexStar TX 2.5" SATA to USB 2.0 External Hard Drive / SSD Enclosure - Model NST-210S2-BK

Pros: small form factor

Cons: requires 2 USB ports (one powered) in order for it to operate

Overall Review: if connected to a tower the two USB port requirements aren't that big of a deal as most have 6 to 8 ports, but for a laptop with a smaller number USB ports the 2 port requirement is cumbersome and restrictive.

awesome device

SAMSUNG Galaxy Note 10.1 Wifi 10.1" - Samsung Exynos 1.40GHz - 2GB RAM - 16GB HDD Tablet PC – Android 4.0 (Ice Cream Sandwich) -White

Pros: Way too many to list...

Cons: I Really want to give this device 5 stars but it does have 2 bad points: 1. this tablet does not support installing or moving applications to the sd-card (app2sd nor any other like it do not work) scuttlebutt on the internet suggests that Samsung purposely disabled this option. 2. It should have had jellybean pre-installed instead of ics with ics the device perform less than optimal, but with jellybean it's like night and day, buttery smooth operation.

Overall Review: Stick with the 32mb version of this device, hopefully (if the Internet rumors are true) will release an update that will restore the app2sd functionality.

You can't go wrong with this display

SAMSUNG 23" LCD Monitor 2ms(GTG) D-Sub, DVI P2350-1
SAMSUNG 23" LCD Monitor 2ms(GTG) D-Sub, DVI P2350-1

Pros: This monitor is awesome! It Worked directly out of the box with no adjustments needed. The dvi interface and 1080p provide for stunning visuals.

Cons: none that i can see

Overall Review: Some reviews on here give this monitor a knock because it lacks speakers. That is actually a pro as most LCD monitor speakers are awful, besides the people who buy displays like these do so for the picture quality and not the sound.

small but effective

Kingston ValueRAM 2GB (2 x 1GB) DDR2 533 (PC2 4200) Dual Channel Kit Desktop Memory Model KVR533D2N4K2/2G
Kingston ValueRAM 2GB (2 x 1GB) DDR2 533 (PC2 4200) Dual Channel Kit Desktop Memory Model KVR533D2N4K2/2G

Pros: price, smaller footprint for ram than im used to. fast shipping as usual with newegg

Cons: none

Overall Review: Bought this ram to upgrade a relative’s Compaq Presario desktop that only had 512mb of ram and shared video. Before upgrade the computer took up to 4 minutes or more to fully boot to desktop and be usable. After the upgrade the boot time shrunk down to under two minutes (I also altered some of the bios settings and streamlined a few things). For a budget or low end computer system you can’t go wrong with buying this ram.

Works as advertised

Rosewill RC-208 PCI IDE (ATA) Silicon Image Host Controller un-RAID Card - Also Supports Window Vista Ready
Rosewill RC-208 PCI IDE (ATA) Silicon Image Host Controller un-RAID Card - Also Supports Window Vista Ready

Pros: simple install, running vista ultimate 64 bit and it saw it and installed without specifying a driver (i changed the driver to the rosewill driver after reboot) posts fast during bootup, one of the fastest i have seen

Cons: The positioning of the ide headers on this card is poor. with the headers on top of the card makes it near impossible to put this card directly below another. Drive to drive transfers (with both drives connected to the card) are slow as well, starts off at 20 mb/s and drops to around 1 to 2 mbs on big file transfers (but that can also be a vista issue). transfering from one of my sata drives to a drive connected to the card is reasonably faster.

Overall Review: Cool to find a manufacturer that still makes a 64 bit capable ide card for those of us that have ide hard drives that still work. It does what it says, but with poor ide header positioning and slow drive transfers i had to give this card three eggs, otherwise i would have rated higher.
