Decent Dock and Enclosure Combo
Pros: Solidly constructed dock and enclosure, installed nice and easy, cables included. Got to love the brushed aluminum finish.
Cons: A few little nitpicks; it doesn't sit flush with front of the dock (not so much a bad thing, I just think it looks funny), there is no cover for the dock so when the enclosure is not installed there is a sizable gap in the case, and the dock sit in the case in a way that suggests its upside down.
Overall Review: I had purchased this product to replace a failed N82E16817620004 and does what it needs to. This is the second SilverStone MS05B I've purchased and all together I've been pleased with both of them.
eeepc charger
Pros: I'm sure it works well with 1005HA, 1008HA, and 1101HA eeepcs.
Cons: At the time of this review, the product does not match the picture. This is a two part charger (brick and cord) rather than a single piece charger.
Overall Review: I had purchased this to be a travel charger for my 1000HE, not only was it almost exactly the same as the charger I already have but the power pin was incompatible (in all fairness, the compatibility is listed under specifications and I knew the possibility it wouldn't work with my eee when I purchased so not a knock on the product itself). For anyone looking to buy this, it will NOT work with 1000HE, 900, T91, etc. The power pin is very thin and will not fit.
Follow Up
Pros: The flash bits still work as advertised.
Cons: The read-only switch kept getting caught on things and finally broke off in the read only position.
Overall Review: Given the choice between a storage device getting stuck in read-only mode and getting stuck in your-data-no-longer-exists mode, I'll gladly go with the former but that doesn't make it any less of an inconvenience. Once this card's replacement arrives, I'll see how Patriot stands on the 5 year warranty.
It's a Cable
Pros: 1,000 mb/s throughput, 1 foot long, perfect for connecting my stack of routers and switches.
Cons: Wasn't free.
Overall Review: Its purple.
Just What I Needed
Pros: Converts the side facing HDMI port on my TV into a rear facing port, keeping my cables facing the same direction.
Cons: $7 (at the time of purchase) seems a tad much for a right angle adapter but I don't think you can find it for less anywhere else.
It Swivels! It Bends! But Wait, Theres More!
Pros: Great four port USB hub, the fact that its semi-rigid keeps it from flopping around while the male USB plug swivels 180 degrees allowing for a great deal of flexibility.
Cons: It doesn't feel like it has the best construction and makes no attempt to hide its plasticy made-in-china-ness. I feel the center swivel female USB port is more of a possible point of failure than useful feature.
Overall Review: I bought two of these to give some more much needed ports for a laptop and a PS3 slim. The bright blue light and the floral pattern are subject to personal taste but neither bother me at all.
