This review is from: HP LaserJet Pro M402dn (C5F94A) Duplex 600 x 600 dpi USB mono Laser Printer
Pros: The print quality is fine and the duplexing works well. I'm surprised how quick it is for its size. I especially appreciate the option to connect the printer directly to the network. The network and USB ports can be used concurrently.
Cons: None, please see my remarks below.
Other Thoughts: My opinion of a printer's quality is based on its longevity, and since I've only had this printer a brief time, I can't comment on its durability. But I proffer this advice: buy the correct printer for the expected print volume. If you push an economy printer to do a heavy-duty printer's workload, you're going to wear out the printer very quickly. Although high-volume printers are expensive, buying one heavy-duty printer may be more economic than buying a series of light-duty printers. With this printer, there may be a temptation to use it as a workgroup printer since it is has networking capability, and I suppose it would work OK in the role, provided that the workgroup does relatively little printing. Overall, this is a fine printer for a relatively light workload.READ FULL REVIEW
Pros: The computer we received matches the specifications listed. The machine came with a legitimate Windows 10 license key.
Cons: It does not come with the Dell image, which isn't a problem, but whoever imaged the machine didn't put much effort into the project. For example, the Windows 10 installation was corrupt to the point where clicking on the start button had no effect. After reformatting the machine and installing Windows 10, all was well. This isn't a huge con for me, because even if it came with the Dell image (or especially if it came with the Dell image), I would reformat and reinstall the OS anyway.
Other Thoughts: This is a fine machine at a great price, just plan on having to reinstall Windows before you can use it.READ FULL REVIEW
Pros: - Does not need external power.
- It is indeed tool-less which is helpful if you're troubleshooting hard drive issues and are swapping drives frequently.
- I'm using this item to re-purpose mechanical laptop hard drives that I've replaced with SSDs as external backup drives.
Cons: I wish the cable was longer. The cable only extends 3-4 inches outside the case. If you intend to use this with a desktop you'll very likely need a USB extension cable.
Other Thoughts: I bought this device to aid in transferring a laptop's OS, files, etc. from one hard drive to another.READ FULL REVIEW
