Pros: Everything is relative to the price, and what u get for the price of this laptop just can't be beat. with an extra fifty off promo it's an even better deal. this is obviously a very basic work/home/office type laptop. Wireless detected my network (and 2 others) right out of the box. DVD's run very nice (tho i recommend using CCCP). No dead/stuck pixels were found.

Cons: Not cons considering the price, but it's the old Pentium dual cores, not core 2, and the ram is 2x512, would be a cheaper upgrade if it was 1x1gig. but then having bonus speed of dual channel is nice if you're not planning to upgrade the ram.

Overall Review: No need to reformat/reinstall vista to get rid of the "extra/annoying" packaged software, all that stuff can be deleted simply using add/remove programs. Unless of course you are switching back to XP ;)
