Great all around TV.

Sharp AQUOS LC-52LE640U 52" 1080p LED TV - 16:9 - HDTV 1080p - 120 Hz

Pros: Just set this up this morning after getting it for eight hundred on black Friday. I love the ultra thin and simplistic bezel. Picture is stunning. Had some input lag when first connecting my Xbox - this is eliminated by turning the tv to game mode (which I believe enables the "vyper drive", as I don't see a standalone option) and disabling the image processing options like OPC, noise reduction, etc. I didn't notice a drop in picture quality after doing this, and those options save specifically for your game console's input. Wifi set up was easy but had only medium connection strength....I'll likely go wired, but ymmv. USB input is a big plus, and it plays many movie types - avi, mkv, asf, and more. Sound quality is as good as other sets, but I will be using my surround sound soon instead.

Cons: - only one component input - no biggie as I'll move over to hdmi. - apps include vudu, Netflix, YouTube, but no Hulu :( maybe that will be updated, pleaseplease? - doesn't make sammiches

Overall Review: I got this tv because I was looking for a great all around unit with all the bells and whistles but did not want a 3d set. The picture quality is great and there's dozens of options for customizing your picture. Can play media from your PC through the ethernet, hooking directly with hdmi, or using a usb drive. So far I'm quite satisfied.

Good product overall

Apple iPod video (Late 2006) 2.5" Black 30GB MP3 / MP4 Player MA446LL/A
Apple iPod video (Late 2006) 2.5" Black 30GB MP3 / MP4 Player MA446LL/A

Pros: The overall look is good, and the interface of course is where apple really scores. The scroll wheel is intuitive and easy to use. Battery life is great for listening to music. Screen is bright and well detailed. Unit charges up quickly. iTunes isn't perfect but it keeps music files organized well. Ipod is easy to interface with a vehicle.

Cons: Scratches easily (bought a case, so not an issue). Battery life only lasts about 3 hours when watching video, depending on volume. Video can only be in Mp4 format, but found some software to take care of that. I use an auxillary port in my car to hook up the ipod, and found that the bass isn't that great unless I turn the ipod up and the car speakers down (which makes sense, but drains the battery faster). Ipod acts funny when exposed to changing temps - for instance when I go outside on an especially cold day, it'll need to be reset before it is able to work, and then sometimes says 'low battery' despite the battery being full. Resetting is easy and fairly quick, but that's a pain.

Overall Review: Ipod was a gift, and it failed about a month after receiving. Sent it back to apple, who replaced it and also redid the engraving for free in about 2 weeks. I think I may have had a refurb in the first place, but two others with refurbs I know have had no issues. Overall a good product with a few minor issues - I'd especially like to see the temperature sensitivity be fixed on newer models.
