Good Value - Does what it should - no frills

ASRock Challenger Radeon RX 9070 XT 16GB GDDR6 PCI Express 5.0 x16 Graphics Card RX9070XT CL 16G
ASRock Challenger Radeon RX 9070 XT 16GB GDDR6 PCI Express 5.0 x16 Graphics Card RX9070XT CL 16G

Pros: 9070 XT at a budget price that performs as it should. Reasonably attractive card that will fit in most systems. Regular dual 8 pin power connectivity (no strange connectors) Best prices I've seen on a 9070 XT FSR 4 is nice

Cons: Minimal RGB (If you care) and it's doesn't appear to be controllable Needs an 800 watt system (like all 9070 XTs)

Overall Review: If you are looking for a 9070 XT and you don't want to pay completely ridiculous prices, buy this card. Fired it up and got it playing Stalker 2 and Cyberpunk at noticeably improved frame rates over my 7800 XT. It's stable and pairs very well with my Ryzen 7 7700 CPU. This and other ASRock products have been solid values for me.

Best deal on a PC in 2021!

ABS Gladiator Gaming PC - Intel i7 10700F - GeForce RTX 3070 - 16GB DDR4 3000MHz - 1TB Intel M.2 NVMe SSD
ABS Gladiator Gaming PC - Intel i7 10700F - GeForce RTX 3070 - 16GB DDR4 3000MHz - 1TB Intel M.2 NVMe SSD

Pros: Good clean build - well constructed Very adequate cooler and ventilation. Almost all name brand components (including power supply)

Cons: RAM is listed as 3000mhz, but Motherboard doesn't handle more than 2933mhz. XMP profile isn't recognized. Rear USB 2 ports are on a very flexible corner of the MB. Makes plugging in components "uncomfortable" - Durability concern.

Overall Review: Overall this is a great PC. I'm giving it a 5 start review, because I am very happy with it. The price is good, and it works very well. I haven't found any significant problems yet and I've put it through the paces. I've run some benchmarks and found that it performs as a system of this type should. It makes a little noise, but it's not bad. It also looks great, if you like this sort of thing! The only items that gave me a little pause are the items listed in the Cons as well as the RAM brand. Never heard of OLOy. It does seem to work fine, though. The machine was packed better than I expected after seeing some reviews. I'd say this machine is one of the best kept secrets of the year! BTW . . .The issue with the XMP profile not being available can largely be mitigated with manual settings.

Excellent Value and reliable board

ASRock 970DE3/U3S3 AM3+ AMD 770 + SB710 USB 3.0 ATX AMD Motherboard
ASRock 970DE3/U3S3 AM3+ AMD 770 + SB710 USB 3.0 ATX AMD Motherboard

Pros: Reliable and relatively compact board for ATX design. Has some "lost" features like a serial port and PATA connectors. The tuning software included seems better than most. Overall I consider this to be very good budget board that can be tuned for additional performance.

Cons: Limited available supported 8 core CPU options.

Overall Review: Be sure to check the CPU support list for your current future CPU options. I purchased along with a Phenom II processor with the intent of upgrading to an 8 core FX (as advertising suggested I could). After looking at the supported CPU list, I found that it doesn't support the new FX-8350 and some others - even though they are within the board's power rating. Some of the supported 8 core CPUs are not available as boxed processors in the US. I consider this board a poor choice for an 8 core chip. I settled for a FX-6300 and am happy.

Great card design

Palit NE5X56TS1102-1140F GeForce GTX 560 Ti (Fermi) SONIC 1GB 256-bit GDDR5 PCI Express 2.0 x16 HDCP Ready SLI Support Video Card

Pros: This is one of the best cards designs you'll find. It's smaller than reference. It is reasonably quiet. It also uses the wider design to get you more ports - you probably won't need to use an adapter. Oh - and it's fast too!!!!

Cons: The only down side I can find is that it vents heated air into the case, unlike most of the other designs that vent it directly out the back of the case. I can't really see that this is causing a problem, but I have a large well vented case. This might not be the best choice of card for more compact cases.

Overall Review: I really like this card. I upgraded from a GTX 260. The speed different isn't profound, but it is very noticeable. The compact size of the card now allows me to get to all the SATA ports on my motherboard. I expect this card to last me a while.

ASUS GeForce 8400 GS 512MB DDR2 PCI Express 2.0 x16 Graphics Card EN8400GS Silent/P/512M

Pros: This card was purchased to upgrade an old P4 Dell with integrated graphics so that the system would support Aero in Windows 7. It was selected because of it's lean power requirements, relative performance, and price. It scores an A+++ on those points. The fanless design was just an extra bonus. Should be able to game a little, but was not bought for that purpose.

Cons: Nothing really bad to say.

Overall Review: This is a fantastic choice to give a bump to an integrated graphics chipset. It will get you new graphics features if your integrated chipset is older. For those with newer integrated chips (that already run Aero), it will get you from no gaming at all to running some newer stuff with reduced settings. The price after rebate and free shipping made this a steal.

Canon ImageClass MF3240 0989B001 MFC / All-In-One Up to 21 ppm Monochrome USB Laser Printer

Pros: This is an excellent printer. It prints quickly and and the quality is very good. It can operate as a fax and copier without being connected to a computer. While it is a tall device, it has a very small desktop footprint. All items are easily accessed from the front.

Cons: No drivers are available for Mac or Linux.

Overall Review: I bought it as one of the Shell Shocker deals. It was a great buy.

Good quality case for the price

This case is about a good as you are going to do for the money. Tempered glass side with easy to use thumb screws. Good overall quality. I had no trouble getting my microATX build done. It handled a full height tower cooler and a medium length video card. Also handles a standard full size power supply and has plenty of space to route cables. Makes a good blackout or RGB build. Be careful with the video card. Won't handle a full length card. Check the measurements.
