Clarification
Pros: "Rosewill 10ft. DVI-I-(24+5) Male to DVI-I (24+5) Male Digital Dual Link Cable w/ Ferrites Cores, Model RCW-902" It is, as stated, a DVI-I Dual Link Cable. That means it has the 24 pins for Dual Link digital, plus the flat analog ground and four analog pins surrounding it.
Cons: It's a cable, it works, what else?
Overall Review: There are 5 types of DVI connectors, DVI-D and DVI-I in both Single and Dual link, in addition to the DVI-A connector. Make sure you get the right one, don't blame others for your own mistakes. DVI- I Dual Link (This Cable): . . ........ --- ........ . . ........ DVI-I Single Link: . . ... ... --- ... ... . . ... ... Flimsy for Price
Pros: High DPI laser sensor, as expected of a gaming mouse. The L/R buttons are concave, letting your finger rest in them feels more natural. The side buttons are just above where your thumb rests so you typically won't press them on accident. Grip took a bit to get used to but it feels fine.
Cons: After about a month the scroll wheel started messing up. 2/3 times it'll go the direction it is supposed to, however 1/3 times it'll go the opposite. Very annoying. I've taken it apart to clean it and checked the gearing. It is moving as it should so there seems to be a sensor or driver issue. Overall feels rather cheap, expected more for the price. The laser needs either a uniform surface or a mousepad to work correctly. I've got a desk that has a wood grain pattern on it, and this causes the laser to freak out sometimes, or not track correctly. Example, moving it down sometimes will move it diagonally down and to the left, bad in gaming.
Overall Review: The LEDs are fairly bright but can be turned off in the drivers so they're not really an issue.
Update your firmware
Pros: Fairly good write speeds, fast read speeds. Good for an OS drive.
Cons: Has a bug in earlier versions of the firmware that causes BSODs every hour after you hit 5184 hours with it powered on.
Overall Review: For everyone having crash issues with this, update your drive's firmware from Crucial's site. It seems the old firmware versions write the powered-on hours to a single cell or something so when it hits 5184 hours and tries to update it again (once an hour) it fails and you get a BSOD if it is your OS drive, or you drop the drive if it isn't. After this update you'll be fine.
Great Mouse
Pros: Massive DPI range that has on the fly controls which can be configured via the drivers. Extra weights lets me make the mouse heavier and helps with control. Fit feels good on the hand. Free-scrolling is a nice feature.
Cons: 10 buttons? I count 6. 8 if you're generous and include the DPI switching buttons, I suppose the side scroll clicks are counted as 9/10. 3rd side button (bottom middle) has issues being mapped outside of the drivers. Cord likes to snag on things due to its braided cover.
Overall Review: Would be nice if it had even heavier weights but as it is it's fine. 5700 DPI is overkill, unless your in-game sensitivity is in the hundredths.
Good value 120hz
Pros: 120hz. I never thought I'd really notice that much of a difference between 60 and 120, until I had this hooked up side by side with my old monitors. Even dragging a windows explorer window around the screen is smoother.
Cons: Overdrive can cause some ghosting in games so I have it turned off. HDMI is strictly for PC, had it hooked up to a cable box and if you run 720i or 1080i it turns purple. Also has an annoying habit of prioritizing the HDMI input over the DVI input. If my PC stops displaying to the monitor (the 10 minute shut off monitor) it'll switch to the HDMI input even with the cable box off and just show a black screen. No HDMI audio output volume control.
Overall Review: Doesn't come with the hardware needed for nVIDIA's 3D. You'll need to buy that separately if you want to use 3D. The orange parts on the stand could clash with some people's setups but causes no problems with mine.
Big pad for low sensitivities
Pros: Great for when you use a low in-game sensitivity and need the room in order to make full use of it. Seems to be fairly wear resistant so far. Tracks my mouse with no issues.
Cons: Slides slightly on my desk, not noticeable during use but becomes off centered and needs re-adjusting every few days or so (but that's just aesthetic reasons). You probably pay $5 just for the name brand, but not many others make pads this large.
