Fastest reader
Pros: Fastest card reader that I've own. Very compact in size. Customer service is from Tek Republic is also excellent. They responded quickly and replaced a defective item quickly. Highly recommended!
Cons: microSD and SD slots share the same drive letter so you can't use both at the same time.
Overall Review: The speed of the read and write depends on the card used and there aren't very many fast cards out there. I used the PNY Elite Performance 64GB SD and I tested up to 90MB/s read and write.
Constant BSOD
Pros: low price, brand name
Cons: Constant BSOD. Memory test fails within 5 secs after it started. Replaced with a pair of Corsair (same specs) I have running on another system and test showed no error and no more BSOD.
Overall Review: So the low price in the pros now is really no longer a pro since I had to pay to RMA. I've been building systems and buying from newegg for over 10 yrs and this is one of the few times I experienced memory errors. Kingston is supposed to be high quality but these memory was made in China so maybe that's the problem. I think Kingston just put their name on a low-quality product.
did not boot
Pros: - looks nice
Cons: - bought two dimms and neither would boot. - bought Muskins and another no name brand and both boot perfectly
Overall Review: I would not recommend since what's the chance that both dimms fail while all the other brands worked perfectly?
works well
Comments: Installed it in a Gigabyte 7nnxp and Athlon mobile 2400. Runs well at 2.5 3 3 6 at 204 MHz. The rated timing is 3 4 4 8 at 250 MHz. I believe it is the limitation of the Athlon cpu and not the memory. Intel cpus can handle much higher FSB. I popped in the Kingmax DDR433 and it failed prime95 at the same settings. Check out the review. I gave it only 4 stars because they jacked up the price significantly since I bought it.
Wrong item was sent but processing took a week. The only good is that they caught the problem and refund without my intervention.
