wow, just wow

Pros: Durability, smooth actions, switch construction, software.
Cons: price...slightly
Overall Review: You really get what you pay for, this bad boy blows every saitek out of the water. The devices are sturdy, the switches are very well made, and the action on both the main stick and the throttle is as smooth as butter. The switches in particular are impressive, I spent 8 years in aviation in both the army and in the civilian sector and they are as sturdy as you will find inside a cockpit. The only downside to the stick is the resistance on the afterburner catch. if you flip the stopper around to add in that resistance you literally have to lift the throttles to get them past the detent. Even at 13 pounds on the throttle, the main body will still lift off the surface you have it sitting on. If you plan on using the ab detent, screw this bad boy to your desk or something
lolsaitek/madcatz

Pros: button functionality, so many different ways to program buttons.
Cons: main stick is EXTREMLY loose in comparison to what i would call high end hotas systems. and then there are the drivers and customer support....or rather lack there of. constant crashing of the SST programing software forces me to restart my system each time it does go down, and this is a completly clean win 7 OS. but yet somehow, i keep getting a .net component error? reinstalled the drivers and software three times...still the same thing. and NO support from their webpage. Do yourself a favor and either spend the extra cash and get a warthog, or step down in price over to CH products. seriously, you will save yourself a lot of frustration
Nice pedals
Pros: Durability
Cons: software, device slides on just about any surface
Overall Review: I love these pedals, but if you are new to rudder pedal usage, be prepared for a few flights consisting of derp moments where you forget that you don't twist the stick anymore. The software is problematic and difficult to use, even for a programmer like myself. I have only tinkered with the curves to get the left toe brake sensitivity in check, but i cant imagine trying to program buttons on a ch stick with this stuff...NO THANKS!. The pedal base will slide everywhere unless you try some creative measures to keep it in place, something like carpet tape or velcro works well. I am not a fan of the induced resistance at the center point, it can make fine movements trickey to get the hang of. -1 egg overall, half an egg for the software, half an egg for center point resistance.
do not bundle and pay for rush processing

Pros: looks great
Cons: still waiting on it to arrive
Overall Review: warning to those bundling this item with items that support rush processing, you do not get what you pay for! I bought this in conjunction with a new cpu and mobo, requested rush processing. item was purchased yesterday, when i asked customer support what the deal was the response i got was " sorry but that warehouse doesnt support rush processing, you may possibly get it by next week" when my reply was " i would hope so since i paid for rush processing and three day delivery", i got the run around and my measily two or three bucks back. i picked newegg because i have ordered from them in the past and had no issues like this before. perhaps its just a customer support person whos clueless, but perhaps newegg is taking the stance like so many other companys " thanks for your money, talk to the hand"
great sub sim for those looking for something a bit different

Pros: Visuals are spectacular, cant wait to see them on my new rig. Various sub set ups, crew promos and all the work involved in building a solid crew is very well done. if your looking for a brainless point and shoot sim this isnt it. torpeadoes are difficult to get right with out a hack, hard mode is infact hard
Cons: the bugs. havent played in a while but there are so many bugs in this its not even funy. again though, cant wait to see on the new rig. the game play and graphics far out wiegh the bugs
Overall Review: the intro to this game is absolutely spectacular. if you havent seen it, google it. unbelievable
