Decent Monitor
Pros: Price is great! I got it on sale for $119.99 It takes this from a 3 star monitor to a 4 star monitor. quality of picture and color vibrancy is good. There are lots of options and presets in the menu. Note, this is not a high end monitor but is well worth the price. Even at the original $170 its a decent buy
Cons: There is a little bit of glow around the edges from the backlight but its only noticeable with blacks and really dark colors. In games and Windows applications, its not really noticeable. Quite a bit outside of the normal viewing angle, there is a little bit of color distortion, but the guy right next to you watching the video you are so adamantly showing him isn't going to notice. Its that second or third guy down the line that might notice if he's looking for it.
Overall Review: One of my 2 monitors came with a red dot in the middle of the screen. Because I purchased the monitor on NeweggFlash, the RMA process is different. It kept linking me to the Newegg RMA process which couldn't find my NeweggFlash order number, which was to be expected. I sent an email 3 days in a row with no response. I eventually had to spend 45 min waiting to chat with customer service to request an RMA, which Newegg's RMA policy clearly states that you cannot get an RMA code over chat, email, or phone but I digress. They sent me a shipping label for free but it took the monitor an entire week to get there and now I'm waiting for them to test it and send me a new one. Also, now I'm finally getting replies to my original emails more than a week later. 20 days in, 1 monitor looks good, the other is in the Newegg system somewhere. If I had only bought 1 monitor I would have been without a monitor for hopefully only 2-3 weeks by the time I actually get it back. Other than the seemingly unnecessarily lengthy process and understaffed customer support, I'm going to end up with 2 monitors that I am very happy with.
