Nice, portable laptop
Pros: This laptop is wonderful for the mobile user. It's pretty light, has decent battery life (up to 5 hours), and comes loaded with features. The wireless card is one of the best I've ever used.
Cons: The fingerprint scanner is a little buggy, the cellular modem requires $$$ subscription, so I had to disable both. As the other reviewer said, Sony is notorious for including Gbs of trial/extraneous software. Also, the optical drive is louder than my old laptop's, and the display adapter won't work under Linux (BOO!!!).
Overall Review: This laptop can play most games out there today fairly well, and I love being able to switch between graphics cards depending on what I want to do. I'd have liked the cards to be hot-changeable.
A very tight fit
Pros: It works...
Cons: The unit is slightly too wide for a 3.5" bay, I had to file the sides slightly to get it to fit. It takes up way too many USB headers and has so many wires running out of it that it is unsightly in any case with a window.
Overall Review: You get what you pay for...
Perfect for a mobile DJ!
Pros: It's an awesome little case. I put in an ITX board and use it as a portable music/video server for DJing. Boy, is this thing portable, and the LED fan with the tinted plastic makes for a "hip" look as I've heard it called.
Cons: The small case screws are prone to stripping if you don't use a quality screwdriver, but that's easily fixed with a Dremel. The case should come with extra broad-headed fan screws for the rear fan slot, standard ones need a washer to hold tightly. I also wish that the front-panel connectors were placed a little higher, as the handle gets in the way ever-so-slightly when placed on it's side.
Overall Review: This case is excellent for anyone who needs to make an impression at first glance.
