Awesome CASE
Pros: Fantastic low price for quality. Built my first computer in this box. It is easy to work with, roomy, mostly sturdy, looks good, pretty quiet, has all the goodies I want on the front (audio, firewire, usb)
Cons: The front panel audio is wired for AC'97 standard but my board is the newer (?) HD standard. I like a very quiet computer and the fans are a bit loud but work well.
Overall Review: A google search helped me figure out how to rewire the front panel to work perfectly as HD standard. The two 120mm fans cool very well but run almost 1700rpm. If you purchase a fan control panel you can bring the rpm down and make the case cool and even quieter.
Surprised by so many good reviews.
Pros: Does a lot for a low price.
Cons: This thing is loud! Much louder than any of many drives I've had. Right out of the box I noticed there is something loose inside that rattles around. Even though I chose custom install to avoid this, the Nero freeware tries to take over the computer.
Overall Review: Now that I've spent the money on lightscribe discs, this unit, and shipping, I'll keep it, but the quality of the build looks and sounds poor.
Excellent Micro Keyboard
Pros: Quality, space saving size, quiet keys, layout of keys is very nice and usable for a small keyboard, feel/response of keys is excellent, works flawlessly, nice looking.
Cons: None for me. I've used it daily all this year.
Overall Review: I don't use numbers often and wanted to create a more ergonomic layout for my keyboard and mouse and it works well to have the mouse closer to the keyboard.
nice keyboard
Pros: Plug and play, solid build, great feel on the keys, quiet keys, looks nice, is small, has USB 2.0 ports, and leaves more room for the mouse since there are no number keys.
Cons: 1. I use one of the two USB ports on the keyboard for my cordless mouse. It occasionally disconnects and I have to unplug and replug to regain usage of my mouse. I haven't been able to identify what causes this or if it is a problem with the keyboard or my computer. However, all other USB ports attached to my computer work without disconnecting. 2. The right shift key is a stretch for my short pinky finger but I'm getting used to it. Still, it slows down the flow of typing for me.
Overall Review: The shortcut keys aren't great for me because they are a reach (making them long-cuts). It is easier to use windows shortcuts with right-clicking and/or by using the Windows Key. Volume control would be nice but I have that on my mouse. If it lasts for several years, it will have earned the 4 stars I gave it.
not liking it
Pros: Soft and pliable so should be comfortable and lasting.
Cons: "whisper quiet" means you CAN hear it. My last pad was silent. I preferred silent. "smooth" means not rough. This pad is much stickier than my last pad. I prefer a slicker surface.
Overall Review: It's OK, but if shipping wasn't costing so much these days, I'd return it.
good and bad
Pros: not bad looking, very quiet, blows cold air.
Cons: Like previous reviewer, box arrived very damaged. All the protective foam was smashed, the box torn in several places, and the the air conditioner has cosmetic damage. This unit is NOT 5" deep. It is 15 inches deep. Much bigger than it looks in the photo and in the description.
Overall Review: Very frustrated for receiving a damaged package and unit. I'm betting it was sent out damaged because it only had to travel with in California and I've never seen UPS do this much damage to a package.
