Great first SSD buy for me!

SanDisk Extreme 2.5" 120GB SATA III Internal Solid State Drive (SSD) SDSSDX-120G-G25
SanDisk Extreme 2.5" 120GB SATA III Internal Solid State Drive (SSD) SDSSDX-120G-G25

Pros: This was the first SSD I purchased for $90 and put into a new rig I put together. It's very fast, boots in seconds and I have had no issues with it yet in the past 8 months or so.

Cons: Cheap packaging. No sata cables or mounting bracket.

Overall Review: Scored 7.9 on WEI. Love the SSD Toolkit which I use to check for firmware updates.

Driver Issues - Defective

PowerColor Go! Green Radeon HD 5450 (Cedar) 512MB DDR3 PCI Express 2.1 x16 Graphics Card AX5450 512MK3-SH
PowerColor Go! Green Radeon HD 5450 (Cedar) 512MB DDR3 PCI Express 2.1 x16 Graphics Card AX5450 512MK3-SH

Pros: None for me.

Cons: Software installed but drivers did not. Uninstalled and tried downloading drivers from their website and still having issues with drivers. AMD's driver autodetect could not detect it. :(

Overall Review: Tried installing the video card using the supplied CD that came in the box. "No AMD graphics driver is installed, or the AMD driver is not functioning properly. Please install the AMD driver appropriate for your AMD hardware." Manually downloaded the driver files from the web and also PowerColor's website and still having issues with driver. Tried AMD Driver Autodetect application and it cannot recognize the product and therefore cannot recommend a driver to download. Frustrating to say the least. RMA'd.

So seductive!

Corsair Graphite Series 600T Arctic White Steel / Plastic ATX Mid Tower Computer Case
Corsair Graphite Series 600T Arctic White Steel / Plastic ATX Mid Tower Computer Case

Pros: - Looks great! - Although it's mid-tower, it is very close to full-tower. - Large side panel window - Black interior (always a plus in a case). - Comes with dust filters for front intakes and 5.25" bays. - Easy to open the side panels. - Excellent air flow throughout the case. - Room for 9 fans (you can have one under dvd drive as well) - Comes with its own fan controller. - USB slots on top of the case makes it very convenient for usb wireless network adapters. - Comes with 3 great fans. - Easy to clean with a suction vaccum since the dust collects on the dust filters on the front intake fan. - The case decorates your walls in a dark room. Looks very nice!!! That's all I could think of right now off the top of my head and while looking at the case here on my desk.

Cons: For a fussy guy like myself, this will have to be a con. The grill at the front of the case makes the stock corsair fan very loud. I have my case on the desk so it can be very loud. Fortunately, my motherboard has fan control option and I have managed to lower the fan noise considerably. I ended up buying a Bitfenix Spectre Pro 200mm LED fan to replace the front intake after doing some research on this noise issue for this case. This fan, along with fan control (speedfan) has helped to bring the noise level to a minimum and it no longer bothers me. In fact, I have all of my fans controlled through SpeedFan and as a result, the LEDs are affected as well and the case is not as bright as it should be. This is not the fault of the case though.

Overall Review: Overall, this is an excellent case. Very easy to clean since the dust collects on the dust filters. Lots of room inside for expansions, large video cards, water cooling, HDDs and what have you. Would I buy this again? YES! Will I recommend this to others? YES!

Panasonic KX-TG6645B 1.9 GHz Digital DECT 6.0 5X Handsets Cordless Phones Integrated Answering Machine
Panasonic KX-TG6645B 1.9 GHz Digital DECT 6.0 5X Handsets Cordless Phones Integrated Answering Machine

Pros: Does what it's supposed to do. I love the talking caller ID. Cannot live without it. I also like the call block and intercom features. I already own the Panasonic KXTG4034B model which has all the features that this one has. My only reason for purchasing this phone was to setup another phone number in my house. I've found these phones to be heavier, which I like.

Cons: None. But if I were to compare these phones to KXTG4034B, then I would have to mention that these phones need to be charged more frequently. Also, they don't light up ECO until you get close to the base.

Overall Review: When comparing the two, I have noticed that this model does not get ECO mode until you get the phone very close to the base. Where as in KXTG4034B, I get ECO mode upstairs and don't need to be very close to the base at all. Secondly, this phone loses charge fairly quickly than my KXTG4034B which is already a year old. Other than that, this model looks nicer, is heavier and great over all. I had to give it 4 eggs instead of five because of the frequent charging and lack of ECO mode. Other who have not owned KXTG4034B may disagree with me but I am only comparing the two models from Panasonic.
