Good Ram
Pros: Ram works well at DDR3 , 1600 MHz on M4A78T-E.
Cons: Has not been shown to work on the qvl list for 8 GB for M4A78T-E mobo from asus.
Decent Board
Pros: I went with this board because of the combo deal. It is ASUS and they make quality motherboards. Onboard video and onboard lan is a nice feature.
Cons: The floppy and HD/AC97 on the board is placed poorly, especially if you use a case like the Antec Three Hundred where the power supply is on the bottom. I had to tape the HD/AC97 cables to my case to prevent them from going into the power supply. You need a really long floppy cable to reach. There is only one IDE connector and the motherboard, which is a problem when you have a lot of old IDE devices and want to use them. The documentation set is weak regarding BIOS options. I would like to know more about the different settings but can't get this information from the manual provided. DDR3 support is limited and requires looking at a QVL list on the motherboards site on asus. The bios shipped to me was outdated by several months. Thus the version it was running had a bug where it would freeze and not boot into the operating system. When I flashed the bios it changed by boot order without me knowing and made me think the flash did not work. Very limited PCI expansion.
Overall Review: I am using a PCI sound blaster audigy instead of the onboard sound. I can successfully use both a video card and the onboard video at the same time to allow for 4 monitors to be used.
Pros: Works well. Fast.
Cons: None
DOA
Pros: Good specs
Cons: Could not get it to work, tried it it in multiple computers. DOA
Works
Pros: These are good fans, quite and seem well built
Cons: Only come with a 3 pin connector, would have liked to be able to power a few with the power supply (molex)
Not worth it
Pros: It looks nice and has a futuristic design.
Cons: My case had the power switch not working. Had to use the reset switch as power and hence no reset button. Further the 2 top 120mm fans require a special screw in order to install them. The case comes with no such special screws and neither do most fans you will buy.
