Pros: Unfortunately all the negative reviews here are giving this excellent drive a bad name. Simply all you have to do is UPDATE THE FIRMWARE to CC35, if you go to Seagate's support section you can read about it there. You just have to "force" the update by using a command line function that works! Download the update from Seagate Reference #213915 and pick the Bootable CD ISO image, and burn it to a CD as an ISO, then boot to the ISO, ok the disclaimer, then hit Ctrl+C then Y to create a command line break, then type in the following command to start the upgrade FDL486A -m Hepburn -f HECC358H.LOD -s -x -b -v -a 20 That will update the firmware to CC35, and it will be stable and you can use it for a RAID.

Cons: PLEASE READ ABOVE AND UPDATE THE FIRMWARE!

Pros: Internal fan is a plus for helping cool drive, nice case materials, sturdy tray and cover.

Cons: Bought 2 of these units first one killed a perfectly working SATA drive, fortunately it was still under warranty. Second unit failed (read/write errors) then it went into constant recyling of windows detecting device. Sent first unit back for refund, since it killed the drive. NewEgg as always rocked on returns.

Overall Review: Onboard power supply is inadequate for higher capacity drives, and causes failures. Most externals use external block type P/S. Rosewill usually does a MUCH better job than this.

Pros: As advertised adding additional dock to work station.

Cons: Website didn't indicate but the power plug was European and not compatible with US outlets. Disappointing.

Overall Review: Sure if you want to get non functioning unit, fortunately I have extra power cords to replace the wrong one with.

Overall Review: After struggling with a Seagate Black Armor NAS for over 4 years, and dealing with multiple failed drives and slow slow SLOW transfers and recovery times, I finally got fed up after having drive after drive either disappear or fail. I researched this Synology DS1513+ and decided it would best fit my needs. And I was not disappointed, initialized three new 3TB WD NAS RED drives in less than 15 minutes, Let me set up users, rules, volumes,and map the drives to my computers all in less then 1 hour. Started copying backed up data back onto the array via the USB 3.0 port on the NAS at very respectable speeds. However transferring files over my network totally blew me away, it was phenomenal. a 1TB video file took less than 30 seconds on the Synology over my 1GB network when it took 3-4 minutes on the old Seagate!! So far I'm very happy with it, and fully expect to add the expansion units as I need to increase my storage capacity!

Pros: Front loading and discharge makes placing it against wall or in cabinet easy to use. Document feeder is excellent, smooth loading and makes for quick batch work, Scanner works fantastic, no shadowing or over exposure. Compact size is nice for small installation location. Fast printing both color and b&w.

Cons: Tends to go through ink pretty quickly, depending on tasks, can be loud when first starting printing or copying, also high quality printing can generate loud whine from printhead dispensing ink.

Overall Review: Epson printer just up and died on me and I had some NewEgg gift cards so I picked up this little honey. Set up was easy and straight forward, no issues getting it working wirelessly. LCD display is so intuitive to use, makes for job setup and running without the computer just as easy. My only complaint would be ink usage, I get the high capacity black ink cartridges and they are pretty good but the other colors seem to run out fairly quickly, making for a potential cost issue for larger printing work. Fortunately separate ink cartridges are available so cost isn't such a hard hit. Used to be a big Epson fan, but now I think Brother is going to be a go-to choice for me from now on.

Pros: Nice layout, easy to connect all different kinds of plugs and power adaptors. Remote has great range, makes for easy switching on/off.

Cons: Only dink I could give this would be that two of the outlets are on a thicker portion of the strip making the height taller and restricting where you can slide this under/into for complete setup.

Overall Review: This is perfect for me, having my "network" center in another room from where my main computer resides makes it easy for me to restart my home network (DSL modem, 2 ethernet switches, wireless router, indoor cell booster) without having to shut down my NAS and home DVR network adapter. Makes it very handy to trouble shoot internet/network issues by just shutting the whole system down and rebooting everything. I am sure I can't tell some of you have annoying it is when you call your ISP and the first thing they tell you to do is "power cycle" your home network. This way I can do it in a flash and don't have to move or dig behind any equipment! Excellent product, I like it so much I've purchased a few for gifts for friends who have home networks like I do. Great value too, Of course price is always a factor, you can buy $5 power strips but, to get one with great surge suppression along with a remote power switch is a bargain! As always NewEgg is stellar in order processing and delivery. Can't way enough good things about them in that respect! Do yourself a favor if you need a dependable, quality surge suppressor along with a nice long cord, angled plug, and a remote power switch, stop looking and order this now!
