Roku 3500R Streaming Stick (2014 Model) - Certified Refurbished
  • Verified Owner
  • neweggOwned For: 1 week to 1 month

Pros: Easy Setup, works great.

Cons: None.

Other Thoughts: I love this item. This came in a new looking box and looked brand new. It works great for Netflix, etc.
I use the Roku Media Player app and the free Serviio server on my PC to stream video from my computer in the Living Room to my TV in the bedroom.
My only issue is that it would be nice if it factory reset had been run before shipping it. It came with someone else's email address in the Netflix setup!

ThinkPad Laptop Edge E430 (3254AH2) Intel Core i5 3rd Gen 3210M (2.50 GHz) 6 GB Memory 750 GB HDD Intel HD Graphics 4000 14.0

  • neweggOwned For: 1 day to 1 week

Pros: Good build, nice finish. Pretty fast once it boots up.

Cons: Pressing F1 to F12 function keys requires 2 key combination (must press Fn Key at bottom left and F# key in top row). Legends for F# keys in top row are in tiny red letters. Very slow startup. Useless Lenovo Apps.

2 out of 5 eggs The product category everyone loves to hate! 08/22/2012

This review is from: TP-LINK TL-WR1042ND Gigabit Wireless N300 Router, 300Mbps, USB port, 2 Detachable Antennas, IP QoS / QSS Button

Pros: Low Price, features, Newegg shipping.

Cons: Firmware update bricks it, mediocre range and signal. Poor technical support response, documentation is pooorly written.

Other Thoughts: What is it with routers? I have used routers from several different manufacturers. In the past 10 years, I must have gone through a dozen routers. After a year or so, they just stop working and must be replaced. If you sort the routers on Newegg by average customer rating, even the very best rated routers have some awful routers. Why is it that no one can make a great router or it just a love-hate thing.

When my TP-Link TL-WR740N stopped working, I found myself in the market for a new router. I like the TP-Link brand for it's price-performance and have installed several of them at various clients of mine.

I bought the TP-Link TL-WR1042ND router before it had any ratings. With the specs it has, why not, what could be bad? As always, it came super-quickly.

It was fairly easy to setup and has some great features like a USB port that can be set up as a print server, media server or ftp site. The signal strength and range were not as good as the WR740N which is only a 150Mbps non-g
