Most Critical Review

Be wary of Newegg

ASUS P5Q-EM DO LGA 775 Intel Q45 Micro ATX Intel Motherboard
ASUS P5Q-EM DO LGA 775 Intel Q45 Micro ATX Intel Motherboard

Pros: The motherboard would not power up from day 1; so I have no pros to pass along.

Cons: This mobo did exactly what the 1st review I read claimed. Green lights came on but it would not power up. When I obtained my RMA and returned the board, I had no doubts that I would receive satisfaction. Since the board was defective, I was not happy to be charged the restocking fee along with return shipping. I was shocked to learn that my return would not be honored. "End user" damage was the claim for denial. Of course something was bad, in this case the pins, that is why it wouldn't power up and why I returned the part. Whether it was shoddy workmanship or damage caused by shipping or maybe even damage caused by shippers at Newegg, I do not know. Be wary, because the philosophy here is obviously that the customer is always wrong

Overall Review: I am very disappointed to spend this amount of money for a defective mobo with a company I had thought highly of only to find that I must accept the part as is -damaged. After reading the reasons to reject reviews on this page, I am convinced that this review will be rejected. The gavel has sounded on this return and probably this review. The sad part is that I have little, if any, recourse. I have attempted contacting customer service but have yet to receive a response. Words sounding off to deaf ears appears to be my lot. Another waste, first of my money and now of my time; what a disappointment.
