Good value

Aukey PB-N15 20000mAh Portable Charger External Battery Power Bank with AIPower Tech for USB Powered Devices - White
Aukey PB-N15 20000mAh Portable Charger External Battery Power Bank with AIPower Tech for USB Powered Devices - White

Pros: Does what it's supposed to do. It's simple Large Capacity

Cons: Doesn't include a charging cable nor a perfectly matched 2.1 Amp charger supply. Knock off one star for that. Not such a big deal.

Overall Review: All in all, a good deal at the $27 or so price, given the large capacity of this supply. Complaints about it taking a long time for it to charge up are incorrect: if your charger supply is less than the power bank's 2.1 Amp capacity, then it WILL charge up more slowly, but at 2.1 amps it seems to me to charge reasonably quickly.

Most Critical Review

First unit was DOA

Shuttle XPC SD11-G5-SV-V1 Intel Socket 479 Intel 915GM Barebone
Shuttle XPC SD11-G5-SV-V1 Intel Socket 479 Intel 915GM Barebone

Pros: Wonderfully quiet, electrically efficient, and with some careful attention to choice of CPU and memory, an excellent value for the balance of performance and cost; that is, assuming the thing works in the first place!

Cons: My unit is absolutely DOA: no POST, no video, no beeps, just turning fans! This is the first Shuttle SFF unit (out of half a dozen that I've bought over the years) that was DOA. Hopefully the RMA replacement will be fine... stay tuned for a likely HAPPY ending, despite the hassle.

Overall Review: I found the quality of the plastic front panels to be lacking... the drop-down door would absolutely NOT drop down until I took everything apart, filed some excess plastic off the door edge, and re-assembled it all. Now works OK, but still a bit finicky. I can live with it, though.

Gets it Done and Good Value

SYBA CL-ENC50038 2.5" & 3.5" White SATA I / II / III USB 3.0 Dual Mode SATA III HDD Duplicator + Docking Station
SYBA CL-ENC50038 2.5" & 3.5" White SATA I / II / III USB 3.0 Dual Mode SATA III HDD Duplicator + Docking Station

Pros: Value Priced, Functions as advertised, Simple and Easy. NO problems in any mode for both WIN 8 x64 and WIN7 x32. Plugged in drives, turned it ON, pushed button for 5 seconds, came back later and the HDD was cloned to SSD, perfectly! Easy as 1,2,3.

Cons: Connection/docking mechanics could be compromised by moderate bumping, moving, and shaking, since they don't have a strong supporting/bracketing arrangement to "steady" the drive units. But it DOES work adequately, within this fairly minor limitation. I'm certainly not willing to pay more for a better docking scheme, considering that everything else is entirely satisfactory and gets it done.

Overall Review: I thoroughly checked out ALL competing units, and I'm glad I discovered this great deal on a unit that does everything that units costing 3x do. FAST NewEgg delivery, too! Happy Camper

Flawed design/manufacturing

TOSHIBA WiFi Built-in Blu-ray Disc Player BDX2250
TOSHIBA WiFi Built-in Blu-ray Disc Player BDX2250

Pros: If it worked like it was supposed to, it'd be a good value. BUT it doesn't, so don't waste your money and time on such a cxxp-shoot!

Cons: First one worked fine until it completely DIED on the 125th day, when I discovered the darn thing doesn't have a usual 1-year warranty... !!!????!!! I was left with a worthless piece of junk, un-repairable and un-returnable. I stupidly thought, well a SECOND unit will likely last, though... WRONG ! On the fifth time of use, IT started blanking a mostly white screen, and then just stayed that way. Total poor quality, flawed execution, and a waste of time/money...

Overall Review: No WONDER this is being highly discounted, the market is being flooded with REFURBED units... so many are returned, they must do something with all the excess failed units. Caveat Emptor

Don't waste your time or money

Actiontec USB01000C-01CL Skype-certified VoSKY Chatter Box
Actiontec USB01000C-01CL Skype-certified VoSKY Chatter Box

Pros: Maybe it works OK with older operating systems?

Cons: This WILL NOT install in Vista. Despite the sales hype about an "easy, plug and play without drivers"-type install, they NOWHERE divulge that this is useless with the standard OS that has been shipped with most new PCs for the past half year. Only one obscure post in the VoSKY.com forum admits that it will likely never be able to work under Vista. This is not because of drivers but probably due to ChatterBox chipset limitations.

Overall Review: Why is it that this VERY important "spec" or OS requirement/limitation is entirely missing from ALL of their literature and sales information? ggrrr. This is no way to treat customers. What do they expect us all to do now? VoSKY/ActionTec won't even fix the problem, yet they keep selling this worthless product to unsuspecting people?
