Pros: Great sounding speaker for the price. This is very comparable, if not better, in sound quality to the Big J**bone speaker also available on the market IMHO. Lows are excellent for the size of the speaker and the volume doesn't crack under pressure. The sound is big from this speaker and will have no problem filling a room, garage, backyard with some excellent clean sound. It also has some nice features with an IR remote control and bluetooth speakerphone capability. This is also supposed to be portable. I say supposed to be since it hasn't worked well for me so far. Cons: This is the second one I have received and the same exact problem... The BATTERY is NOT CHARGING! I can certainly understand a fluke thing happening with the first one, but to have the exact same issue as the second one? I have charged it overnight upon first receiving both of these and the first one lasted about 12 hours on a single charge (Possibly the original charge from the factory?). Then after re-charging again overnight with a constant blinking power light indicating that it is charging, it lasted all of about 5 minutes after removing from the charger. Tried recharging again and same thing happens. Called Newegg and got a replacement shipped right away, but then the same thing happened. Only this time, after leaving it plugged in and traveling, took it to the office with me and it only lasted on battery power for about an hour and a half, the first time on battery power (Possibly draining while plugged in?). Charged it again and less than 5 minutes of being on battery power and it shuts off again. Called JLAB Customer Support and spoke to Brandon. He was apologetic, however since this item is so new, they are unaware of any major problems with the battery not charging. He also let me know that they won't have stock of this item until June 2014? since this is a Newegg exclusive, Newegg has all the stock on this item currently.

Overall Review: I must be a glutton for punishment because I am trying a third one (Third time's a charm?). Thank goodness for Newegg and their Iron Egg Return policy from the holidays. I spoke to a very nice young lady at Newegg and she was very helpful and very understanding of my situation. Apparently there can only be one advanced replacement performed on an original order, but she was able to accommodate me by pushing through for a second one since I had the exact same issue twice with this item and not so much time remaining on my return policy. I am hoping to not have the same issue happen again as it is frustrating. I will see what happens with the new one and if all works out well, I will update my rating because this is really a nice sounding unit. I like the features it has and I got it for a steal, but if the battery charges, it is well worth paying the regular price for it. If it doesn't, I would not recommend purchasing this item until they fix the battery charging issue, if there is one. Save your money and get the one without the battery because this is a really nice sounding speaker and has some great features, but you're paying more for the luxury of having a battery and keeping this item portable.
