Kingston SSDNow V-Series SNV125-S2BN/128GB 2.5" 128GB SATA II MLC Internal Solid state disk (SSD) Notebook bundled accessory kit

Pros: Works as advertised.

Cons: Doesn't fold my laundry or prepare my taxes.

Overall Review: Seems a good buy if you understand that this drive's advertised access speed is 2.5 to 3 times slower than the high end brands. It's also 2.5 to 3 times cheaper. It's a bargain brand, but it works fine, and slow SSD is still faster than whatever spinny-drive you are currently using. I purchased it to save money and low power usage and durability are the real reasons I wanted to go SSD. In a few years the higher-end drives will probably be worth the investment, but right now I think buying a bargain model is a good idea so long as it works, and this one does. I am sorry for the people who have had bad experiences. I would not discount what they say. But in my situation I manually installed this into a custom -built Crown laptop and have had no problems. Dual-booted Windows 7 and Ubuntu 9.10 and both OSes boot up super fast, (Linux still a little faster than Windows, of course :p).
