Pros: Tested it at almost 90MB/s read and 60MB/s write (4GB file size). Random read/write performance obviously slower. But I use it for my action camera so it accurately mimics my usage
Cons: None so farREAD FULL REVIEW
This review is from: Panasonic RP-HJE270-K Canal Black Earbud Headphones
Pros: Sound quality is justified for the price. I like the design of the earphones as it doesn't fall off easily (whenever I put my helmet on with these).
Cons: None so far and hopefully will stay that way
Other Thoughts: I wish it came with kevlar or fiberglass cables so that I don't have to buy one of these every year. Broken cables are one of the main reason I keep on ordering earphone once in a while. Tried soldering one before but the cables used are very different and doesn't allow a hot solder to flow freely between the wires thus preventing a proper connectionREAD FULL REVIEW
This review is from: Archos 5 Internet Tablet - 32GB running Google Android + Wi-Fi (501318) - BLACK
Pros: The screen is beautiful, perfect for watching mobile video. It can play DIVX, MP4, MKV (see note below) and a bunch of other popular video formats. The Android OS is very responsive and well refined(check note again) considering its fairly new (its linux based by the way but custom built for mobile applications). Sound is infinitely better than my cheap Sandisk MP3 player (im using the same earphone). WebRadio App is a nice addition, I can listen to any online radio over my Wifi network and believe me, they have a good selection (i even tried listening to a radio broadcast from SRI LANKA just for the kicks and I was not disappointed). Built in GPS but havent really tried it as you have to pay a one time $40 charge to activate the license
Cons: Application support is not as extensive as the one found on Apple's Ipod line but they do have some good applications to begin with. The positioning of the head phone jack is somewhat of an inconvenience as it will hinder you from holding the device with both hands like you would hold a book and use both of your thumb to type. You will have to update the firmware to get the latest and greatest from the AndroidOS
Other Thoughts: Codec support is extensive but in order for you to enhoy those nicely encoded 720P H264 encoded movies with full surround, you will have to purchase the HD plugin. But if you are smart enough to re encode the movie to use a different audio codec (like MPEG stereo, wma, MP3), it will work fine albeit no full 5.1 (if youre listening with the earphone, then it doest really matter). HD plugin adds support for WMV HD and AC3 audio(common to MKV encoded blueray rips).
If you buy this device, the first thing you would want to do is to download the latest firmware and update it immediately. Ive heard reports that firmware prior to 1.3 is somewhat quirky. Latest at Archos website is ver 1.4 me thinks. It makes the device more responsive and a lot faster.
