Excellent quality images

Nikon D5100 CMOS Digital SLR with 18-55mm f/3.5-5.6AF-S DX VR Nikkor Zoom Lens
Nikon D5100 CMOS Digital SLR with 18-55mm f/3.5-5.6AF-S DX VR Nikkor Zoom Lens

Pros: I added a grip with second battery, making the camera easier for me to told and use. I have the kit lens, the 55-300 VR lens and the Rokinon 85mm 1.4. I have been very impressed with the image quality especially in low light. I can only assume the reviewer before me had a defective camera or had expectations that were much higher than mine. I moved from a M43 camera to this one and I am more than happy.

Cons: I wish that it was easier to use manual exposure. When focusing with a manual focus lens, the LED indicating proper focus is poorly designed ... there should be a three LED system as used in the Nikon FM exposure meter.

Overall Review: I shot a bunch of pictures at a wedding last weekend using the 55-300 lens mainly. Wow .... outdoor pictures were absolutely fantastic. indoors at the reception even at 6400 iso the pictures were very nice. I am very impressed.

Card is OK .. Foxconn & their rebates stink

Foxconn GeForce 8400 GS 256MB GDDR2 PCI Express x16 Graphics Card FV-N84SM2DT
Foxconn GeForce 8400 GS 256MB GDDR2 PCI Express x16 Graphics Card FV-N84SM2DT

Pros: The card itself is small, well-made, and works great. The chip has a fan with the cooler. Relatively thin card, so fits easily when there is not a pile of space.

Cons: Drivers are available on the Foxconn web site but server is slow as molasses. Ridiculous hoops you have to jump through for rebate. MAKE SURE you print the invoice from newegg to send, if you only include the packing list you will be invalidated, and by the way, you can't resend information for the rebate according to their information.

Overall Review: What a surprise ... myrebates411 gets a D from the BBB. Don't buy anything involving them counting on a rebate, as they'll do anything to invalidate your rebate or take forever to send it. Having said that, if the rebate arrives this will be the best deal on a DX10 card ever.

BUFFALO LS-WV6.0TL/R1 6TB (2 x 3TB) LinkStation Pro Duo RAID 0/1 Network Storage
BUFFALO LS-WV6.0TL/R1 6TB (2 x 3TB) LinkStation Pro Duo RAID 0/1 Network Storage

Pros: Well, nice when it worked.

Cons: They use WD Caviar Green drives in this NAS. If I buy this drive myself, it has a 3 year warranty. Buffalo gives this unit (and the drives inside) a 1 year warranty.

Croaked a couple months out of warranty

BUFFALO LS-WV6.0TL/R1 6TB (2 x 3TB) LinkStation Pro Duo RAID 0/1 Network Storage
BUFFALO LS-WV6.0TL/R1 6TB (2 x 3TB) LinkStation Pro Duo RAID 0/1 Network Storage

Pros: Great space when it worked.

Cons: Purchased 11/24/2012, stopped working 2/05/2014. RAID degraded, one drive was bad. Emailed Buffalo tech support three times on their web site and received nothing back. Nothing. Not a thing. I spent $450 on this and now have a paperweight. Sure, I can buy another drive and try to get the RAID rebuilt, but will that work? Dunno, I was hoping to ask their tech support. Which drive is 1 and which is 2? Dunno ... I was hoping to ask tech support. I don't know the number of hours on this, but it was few .. I used it as a backup to my backup, so it was on maybe a couple of hours per month ... not operated as a true NAS with a lot of hours. Bummed ... in 30+ years I've only had a few drives croak on me .. most become too small as data needs expand and are no longer used.

Overall Review: WD Green drive inside. Easy access to the drives. Fan to keep things cool. There is a lot to like about this NAS, but tech support is not one of them.

We like this quite a bit

Cuisinart DGB-900BC Chrome Grind & Brew Thermal 12-Cup Automatic Coffeemaker
Cuisinart DGB-900BC Chrome Grind & Brew Thermal 12-Cup Automatic Coffeemaker

Pros: Freshly grinds coffee so you get the best possible drip coffee. It does require a tiny bit of extra time to clean after you put it back together than a traditional drip coffee maker. I clean the basket and basket top into the sink after we're done, put the basket but not the basket top back and take off the coffee hopper and clean the chute into the basket. Then put the basket top back on and the coffee hopper back on. I haven't timed this but I would guess it takes about a minute. If you don't keep the chute clean it can clog up and give you weak coffee. Some complain the grind is coarse and requires a lot of coffee per cup, but I haven't noticed any big deal there.

Cons: A few times the coffee maker has not opened the chute during grinding and the coffee doesn't make it into the basket. You can tell when this happens because the grinder slows down near the end of the grinding process. What I do then is to turn it off, take off the hopper and basket, clean, and replace. This has happened three times in the last year and I'm not exactly sure why. Now, I listen to the grinding and if I hear it is not grinding properly, I turn it off, clean the chute into the basket and reinstall. It appears that on the top of the basket top there is a doohickey that needs to engage the lever to open the chute and this doesn't always happen.

Overall Review: A few finicky operational issues aside, we like this coffee maker and I would buy another if this one died.

Slow & limited but OK

autel MS300 CAN Diagnostic Scanner Tool with Trouble Codes Reader for OBDII Vehicles
autel MS300 CAN Diagnostic Scanner Tool with Trouble Codes Reader for OBDII Vehicles

Pros: Cheap

Cons: Limited information, very slow to read codes

Overall Review: I had no problem reading codes and clearing the CEL on an 04 Subaru. When this one is on sale I think it is a decent buy, but around twenty-six I'd probably pay more and get one in the 50-80 range with more functions.
