Most Critical Review

Great UI but that's about it.

Scanner
Scanner

Pros: * Ethernet based * Setup was very simple * Touch UI was very easy to use and features are logically organized * Firmware upgrade was dead simple.

Cons: * Incredibly slow (for all scan qualities and modes) * Very poor scan quality (for all scan qualities and modes)

Overall Review: It's incredibly slow (even on the lowest quality settings [75DPI]) and the scan quality is very poor (even on the highest quality settings [600DPI].) I am super disappointed by the speed and quality results because when I first got it turned on and began setting it up I was impressed by the UI and apparent ease of manageability. I spent about two hours performing multiple different tests using the auto-document feeder (because that's how it will be used in the office) and never got any satisfying results. On the highest quality settings for PDF it took about 2 minutes to scan a single page. Simply unbelievable. There is very little difference in visual quality between 75DPI and 600DPI. Most of the times the scans appeared almost washed out and even using the darkest setting made typed page documents (with colored header) appear only slightly less light. I will be returning this unit and trying something else. And because the options for Ethernet-based scanners is so low I think I will be forced to setup a dedicated PC for a faster scanner to be attached.
