Great card not so great drivers

ASUS Radeon HD 7970 3GB GDDR5 PCI Express 3.0 x16 CrossFireX Support Graphics Card HD7970-DC2T-3GD5
ASUS Radeon HD 7970 3GB GDDR5 PCI Express 3.0 x16 CrossFireX Support Graphics Card HD7970-DC2T-3GD5

Pros: this card is great fast and can handle anything you throw at it VERY happy i bought it gets high fps on everything no problems at all aside from the mass amounts of drive bugs but thats not the fault of asus or the card anyone who is having issues blame drivers not the card go download the rc11 drivers or try some other drivers before blaming the card so far the only ones fully supporting the 7970 are 12.6 and they are bad cause artifacts and many other things (much like everyone is sending them back for) so go download rc11 for 7970 even with driver issues my opinion is this card is 100% worth every penny

Cons: had major driver issues BSOD's artifacts crashing freezing you name it just like many other people here but it wasnt the cards fault its the drivers AMD's drivers arent ready for this monster yet download the RC11 JUST for this card (7970) upside freezing artifacts bsod's all of that goes away its not the cards fault people bad side cant get amd's control center to work with the rc11 driver but oh well card works so if you're having problems dont jump straight to blaming the card or asus download some new drivers like the rc11 version (only one ive got to work right)

Overall Review: here is the rc11 link for people experiencing issues with the current drivers they are a bit outdated but the only ones ive been able to get working properly with the card http://support.amd.com/us/kbarticles/Pages/RC11Driver.aspx

not worth it

Arctic Silver MTX-2.5G Matrix Thixotropic Premium Thermal Compound
Arctic Silver MTX-2.5G Matrix Thixotropic Premium Thermal Compound

Pros: worked great for bout 5 months

Cons: after about 5 months temps started to climb and badly at that so i took of the heat sink to see if it was holding up ok and alot flaked off when i picked up the heat sink it just fell off and now i don't have any other to put on it and i can barely use my computer because if i try to do anything on it the temp flys up and it overheats

Overall Review: i now have to hurry and buy more thermal compound because this turn out to be junk

Beautiful work of art!

ASUS ROG RAMPAGE IV BLACK EDITION LGA 2011 Intel X79 USB 3.0 Extended ATX Intel Gaming Motherboard
ASUS ROG RAMPAGE IV BLACK EDITION LGA 2011 Intel X79 USB 3.0 Extended ATX Intel Gaming Motherboard

Pros: As long as you know what you're doing this motherboard is a beautiful work of art, i love it and i thank asus for making it.

Cons: It's complicated so if you're just going for a cool computer and don't really know what you're doing and don't want to put in the time to figure it out, you probably won't have a great experience.

BAD!

OCZ RevoDrive 110GB 4 x PCI-Express MLC Internal Solid State Drive (SSD) OCZSSDPX-1RVD0110
OCZ RevoDrive 110GB 4 x PCI-Express MLC Internal Solid State Drive (SSD) OCZSSDPX-1RVD0110

Pros: worked amazing for about a month

Cons: after one month windows gave BSOD it disappeared from the bios every other boot, wouldnt boot into windows when it did show up, and then finally it just disappeared all together and wouldnt show up at all anymore.

Overall Review: $100 paper weight, do NOT buy unless you want to replace it once a month.

failure

ASUS Radeon HD 7970 3GB GDDR5 PCI Express 3.0 x16 CrossFireX Support Graphics Card HD7970-DC2-3GD5
ASUS Radeon HD 7970 3GB GDDR5 PCI Express 3.0 x16 CrossFireX Support Graphics Card HD7970-DC2-3GD5

Pros: this card looks amazing and is designed to overclock.........that is about it.

Cons: cant actually overclock at all pretty much due to the voltage limit of 1.060v so unless you consider 925 to 1000 overclocking and pushing it to the max then this card cant overclock 925 isnt even stable really due to vdrop. seriously cant even keep it stable at stock and you market it as an overclocking card? the video bios on this card is horrible voltages are vastly limited standard cards go to 1.175v as stock and max 1.3-1.4v as overclock so a limit of 1.060v as max is just ridiculous thats not even stock voltages for the reference design.

Overall Review: im RMA'ing this card right now ive tried and tried and tried to fix it with tweaking and trying different drivers because i just love the way it looks and the 6 monitor support. but its just hopeless unless asus actually releases a standard video bios to unlock the standards, this card is just a good looking paperweight and from my research they have no intent of doing so. my suggestion to anyone looking at this card is do NOT buy it unless you just have alot of money for paperweights

CPU is GREAT not like what people say

AMD FX-4100 - FX-Series Zambezi Quad-Core 3.6GHz (3.8GHz Turbo) Socket AM3+ 95W Desktop Processor - FD4100WMGUSBX
AMD FX-4100 - FX-Series Zambezi Quad-Core 3.6GHz (3.8GHz Turbo) Socket AM3+ 95W Desktop Processor - FD4100WMGUSBX

Pros: low vcore low temps bought an h60 liquid cooler with it idle is 5c load is 35c overclocked to 4.4ghz [email protected] scores 5,186 on passmark AMD Phenom II X6 1045T scores 5,037 ($150) i7 920 scores 5,512 ($284) so yes some cpus preform slightly over the fx-4100 for over or almost triple the price thats not really a fair comparison they tell you the other cpus are better but not that they are by far more expensive

Cons: i cant seem to get it to 5ghz yet but i have faith i will get it there

Overall Review: all in all this is a very good cpu for the price and once the software is made for it then it will probably just get better but for now people need to stop trying to prove its bad and be optimistic its a unlocked quad core for $109 there is not much room for complaints there
