Pros: Gigabyte brand name. Supports CrossfireX and SLI. A lot of nice features for a low-priced board. Worked right out of the box for me!

Cons: When I overclock processors, I prefer a VRM with more phases than this one has, but then again, I'm not trying to overclock my i5-2400.

Overall Review: Over the past ten years, I have purchased over 100 motherboards from Newegg. I have had only 1 DOA out of all of those boards. Considering the number of DOA's reported, not just for this board, but for motherboards in general, I think there are a lot of builders out there who don't know what they are doing.

Pros: I received the rebate promptly. I had to RMA the first card because it would lock up constantly. The replacement card runs cooler and does not exhibit the same failure. I have not had any problems with it so far.

Cons: The heatsink/fan design is still the biggest drawback for this card.

Pros: All 6 cores are running completely stable at 3.5GHz with stock voltage on a Gigabyte GA-MA790X-UD4P board. Could probably increase the voltage and get a better overclock, but there's no need. Purchased on sale, so even if the 2 other cores hadn't unlocked, this would still would have been an exceptional value.

Cons: None that I can think of.

Overall Review: AMD is probably just trying to liquidate stock of Thuban die as they transition to the FX line. When these are gone, they'll be gone for good. There's no compelling reason to transition to Bulldozer at this time, so this is a great upgrade to an existing AM2+ or AM3 platform.

Pros: Newegg specials make this a very low cost board with a lot of nice features.

Cons: Probably not a good choice for novice builders, but then again, is any board? See comment below.

Overall Review: I bought 3 of these, and they all work fine. No problems at all. Am I that lucky, given the large number of reported DOAs? I don't think so. The cheaper boards seem to be purchased mostly by novice builders who don't have a clue how to diagnose simple problems. If you can't get this board to work, you probably shouldn't be building PCs.

Pros: The price with rebate was great for a card with this level of performance. PowerColor and MSI are the only AMD GPU manufacturers that have honored rebates in the past. I have been stiffed by Sapphire (multiple times), HIS, GeCube, etc., and no longer consider their rebate offers credible.

Cons: LOUD! I think that I may have a defective card. I've tried running this card in 3 different systems, and the result is the same. When the system powers up, the fan builds up speed to what I believe is 100%, and stays there. When the drivers load, the speed does not throttle down. It shows 24% fan speed in CCC, but I don't believe it. I've read many reviews that indicate it should be barely audible at that speed. I've tried to set the speed manually in CCC, and there is no change as well. It sounds like a jet engine, and can be heard clearly from the next room.

Overall Review: I'm on the fence whether to RMA it or not. I'm going to stress test it to make sure there aren't any other defects before I make that decision. Sometimes I wonder whether it's worth the savings, whenever you have to RMA something and ship it back. If I paid more and bought locally, I could have easily exchanged it, and be happily gaming by now. I know it was a bargain at the price I paid, but it's a shame that the manufacturers don't have better quality control.

Pros: Runs good with sufficient case cooling.

Cons: Fan/heatsink design.

Overall Review: I'm updating a previous post that was in error. This card uses the GTS 250 spacing for the SLI headers. I have paired it with a GTS 250 in SLI without any problems, and mechanically, the headers line up.
