Great router!
Pros: Great amount of RAM, runs complex networks and heavy traffic like a pro. Works great with DD-WRT and other firmwares.
Cons: Power brick on my system was a dud. I thought the router was bricked, but it turned out that I just needed a better power brick. After that, it ran flawlessly.
Very worthwhile product
Pros: Very nice, efficient way of adding semi-permanent storage. Uses standard SATA hookups on removable enclosure, and as such can be directly attached to your motherboard without removal. Compatable with Rosewill RX251-ITRAY/RX251-STRAY. Works with larger drives than specifications state. Very solid feel during insertion/ejection of drive. Very solid build in general, and a well thought out design. When the drive is ejected, the eject button retracts, leaving a flush face.
Cons: Would be nice if the specifications included more thorough testing of drive size compatibility. Tech support stated the largest tested size was 250GB, and stated also that it should work with larger. I can confirm a 320G Seagate Momentus 7200.3 will work, and others will likely function as well.
Overall Review: Identical to Rosewill RX251-US series of enclosures, and is fully compatable with them (tested RX251-STRAY, RX251-ITRAY). While they are no longer manufactured, it's handy to know that if you have them, they can still be put to good use in this dock. Does not ship with a often unused Y dongle, instead uses a secondary USB power adapter for older drives.
Ubuntu
Pros: Works flawlessly with Ubuntu Linux, Fiesty, Gutsy, and Hardy. You must enable the restricted drivers to do so, but it works off the live CD as well as by default on the install.
Cons: none
