Pros: Feature rich. Intuitive layout.

Cons: This is about the video editor. No experience with the DVD authoring tool. I've used it extensively for 3 months. The editor includes plugins that haven't been compatible since version 4. (odd, they seem like they'd be interesting) Animating aspects of titles and text such as color, size, shadow and glow with keyframes does not work. Once you close the dialog or reload the file, it's no longer how you made it, but it's all randomized. To make it work, you need to create your animations, and render that portion of your video into a file, which is time consuming and shouldn't be necessary. It sometimes over-writes your prerendered videos that are inserted into the project with a background image while rendering your final output (a separate file). I'm using a Toshiba Satellite L555D if that matters. This program is buggy and Sony's Tech support is non-responsive.
