Pros: - Good gaming performance, at least initially

Cons: - The touchpad is horrendous and seemed to be warping for awhile - the buttons were raised higher than when I bought it and there was a noticeable gap between the buttons and the rest of the frame. That continued until . . . - There is now a section of the frame on the bottom that has warped out and noticeably rounded, leaving a gap between the bottom panel and the rest of the frame. If I didn't know better, I'd say that something in the machine expanded and pushed the frame open. The bottom panel of the machine has now completely separated any is fully open on the side that faces the user. Pressing it back together leads to a noticeable resistance and leaves me wondering how my machine's internals could be larger than they were when I got it. - The keyboard is finicky and getting worse. Keys will occasionally double trigger when pressed once. - For a period of time - and this seems to have stopped - the screen would suddenly go black and flicker in and out at random. - The machine is essentially useless under battery. It will shutdown without warning within 5 - 10 minutes when under battery power. This is not because the battery is dead, either, as the machine will restart and continue running when powered back up, even without being plugged back in. This essentially makes the laptop element of the machine completely broken. - I suspect that the machine has heat management issues or just struggles with streaming video. Any time I play a streaming video of any kind (YouTube, Netflix, etc.), the fan spins up to top speed. For a gaming-spec machine with this kind of graphical prowess, streaming video should be child's play and not require that level of exertion.

Overall Review: Despite its generally strong performance, this machine has been nothing but trouble for me. The hardware performed well initially, but the machine has been on a steep downhill slope almost since I got it. This should have been a great machine and a happy purchase, but it's definitely one I wish I could have had back. Support has been of little help as well, essentially needing to send the computer in to offer any useful insight. No one wants to have this level of buyer's remorse on a purchase this expensive. Pass on Aorus.
