Great Case!
Pros: 1. Beautiful clean looking case. 2. Huge with plenty of working space. 3. Good cable management. 4. Front loading drives (bottom three are hot swappable). 5. Good air flow design. 6. Low mounted PSU. 7. Nice blue LED power light.
Cons: Side panels are a little flimsy but it's not a big deal. Helps keep the weight down I guess since this thing is heavy.
Extremely Loud
Pros: 1. Gives good consistent voltages. 2. Cables were long enough. 3. Small form. 4. PCIe plugs.
Cons: 1. Extremely loud unit. Sounds like a mini vacuum cleaner. 2. Requires good ventilation, otherwise it will get very hot very quickly.
Overall Review: Not recommended for a HTPC. Good for rack mounted servers where noise and heat isn't a problem. Returning unit to try out the Athena Power 220W.
Good Motherboard
Pros: 1. Good reliable board that's been working fine for 11 months. 2. Company keeps up with BIOS updates.
Cons: Integrated RAID controller isn't that reliable for RAID 5 and speed is worse than single disk. I haven't tried RAID 0 yet though. If you're planning to use this board for RAID 5 get a good dedicated RAID controller.
Overall Review: I plan to overclock with this motherboard when I get a chance to upgrade the cooler on the CPU.
Good RMA program from WD
Pros: Fast and quiet.
Cons: I bought 3 of these drives to run RAID 5 but one of the drives died within a month so I had it RMA from WD's website. The RMA process was zero hassle and they actually sent me a larger 640 GB replacement. =)
Overall Review: I'm not doing RAID 5 on my machine anymore since the onboard RAID controller is unreliable and doesn't make a difference in terms of speed. I went back to single disk but may try RAID 0 and use the 3rd disk as a backup or better yet get a SSD drive.
Great Memory
Pros: 1. Works with no problems for 11 months now.
Cons: None
Overall Review: I'm glad I bought it a year ago for $239. =)
