Won't be getting AMD ever again

Pros: It produced an image.
Cons: Had trouble running A LOT of games Died after around 3 years Lots of crashes towards the end of its life. Was very unreliable.
Overall Review: I would recommend to stay away from AMD. I bought this card as an "upgrade" to my GTX 570. Wasn't an upgrade at all. I'm not sure if my card was faulty or something, but I was very disappointed with the results of this card. Probably one of the biggest mistakes I made. I ended up paying more than i did for my 570 for equal or mostly worse performance. Right away, after installing it, I noticed that the frames were very unstable. It had a hard time keeping constant fps, where my old 570 had no problems. The card died on me a while back, so I've been left without a card for a while now. The rest of my computer works absolutely perfect, which is ironic, considering that the rest of the computer is about a year older than the 7970 was when I bought it. At this point, it makes more sense to get a whole new rig, so I guess Newegg and all you computer part companies should thank AMD for making and selling a product that fails so consistently (looking at other reviews of this product), forcing customers to buy new parts regularly. Get Nvidia. It may cost a bit more, but you're paying for reliability and quality assurance. On top of that, Nvidia's hardware and drivers just work better with most games, due to them working directly with game manufacturers to get their cards working better than AMD's.
