Pros: well I got the ram to work at 2133 the best for that motherboard. with a AMD 4130 cpu on MSI 970aG43 MB. but is only running single channel
Cons: I got this to run on my ASUS M5A99 EVO R2.0 and AMD FX4350 CPU no matter what configuration I tried the best I could get this run was 1600. it defaulted to 1333 CPU ID reads it as 10700 (667) ram even though it is rated at 2400
Other Thoughts: I have a set of Kingston HyperX 1866 that runs 2133 on my board and a set of Hyper X 1600 running 1866 so I ended up putting the 4 smaller 4 GB chips and run them at 1866 DUAL channel. I was hoping to run this ram at at least 1866 dual channel on that board. and really hoping for 2133 since this ram is rated at 2400 I did not see any problem. however I checked on a different rig with an MSI board and a FX 4130 CPU and it did run at that boards max of 2133 even if it only runs single channel. I give it the 3 eggs because it did actually work on a different board even though only single channel but it did not get better than 1600 on a higher end board that is rated for 2400 speed. and the FACT that CPUID reads this as 10700(667) ram even though it is called 2400. the CPUID reads the Hyper X ram for what it claims to be. and I was able to actually over clock the Hyper X but this stuff did not even run at advertised speed on the board that should have run it at such.READ FULL REVIEW
Pros: The CPU functions nice even on stock cooling I have yet to break 45C with some arctic silver 5 thermal paste, and I have been pushing this CPU by gaming. on a ASUS M5A99X EVO R2.0 mobo 16G ram 4x4gb 1600 R7260x 2gb Graphics and WD 500G SSD.
Cons: Like it says when I am gaming hard for a few hours that CPU fan sounds like a Jet Engine screaming. and I have 4 120mm case fans and 1 140 case fan running full bore in an old antec 300 illusion case the CPU fan screams so very loud over all those fans
Other Thoughts: I have used many other stock AMD heatsink fan combos for the Phenom IIs look just like this one. when I was reading the reviews about the fan noise I didn't thing a lot about it since I have seen similar reviews on other AMD stock fans. but have never had one any louder than my case fans. which to some folks I have a loud case with all those fans running full bore all time. However, this CPU FAN would fit right in on a JET LINE when it goes to full power I am reminded of JET APUs small jets that are used to power and start the mains. that little fan SCREAMS. believe those reviews AMD YOU NEED TO GET A BETTER FAN FOR THIS CPU. it is by far the worst fan noise I have ever heard. I plan on swapping fans with other AMD CPU COOLER for this LOUD THING.READ FULL REVIEW
This review is from: WD Blue 500GB Internal SSD Solid State Drive - SATA 6Gb/s 2.5 Inch - WDS500G1B0A
Pros: it is an ssd my rig went from 1.5 min boot to 24 sec boot time. it is much faster than my old 7200 spin drive. it is much smaller than the 3.5 drive and I picked up an Icydock that snapped in just fine. put in my old Antec 300 illusion case. put a clean install of Win 7 64 bit on it the slowest part was my satilite connections.
Cons: not 500gb only 465GB usable
Other Thoughts: is a WD they are new to the SSD market but have had great luck with their other products so am gona give this a try. will let you know in a few years how this works out sooner if it fails on me.READ FULL REVIEW
