Terrible for Text and Edges

Pros: Color reproduction; motion video rendering; brightness and contrast.
Cons: Dreadful sharpness; terrible horizontal/vertical sync at native resolution; random distortion of text characters, dialog boxes edges, and any fine lines.
Overall Review: I suspect the VX228H is ideally suited for use as a gaming monitor, video editing workstation secondary display; or a dedicated video monitor (connected to a motion video source).. In these environments, the VX228H color reproduction, brightness and depth are all quite good. I support my hunch with tthe fact that the monitor has no DVI input (but includes two HDMI), suggesting to me this is a "TV"-type display rather than a general use computer monitor. For when used as such, text appears splotchy, distorted, or blurry in random areas about the monitor--as if the resolution is mismatched against the VX228H native resolution. I wrestled with settings on both the monitor, the OS app, and the VDA app to no avail. A call to ASUS support resulted in the usual cursory (but thorough) settings checks, though to no avail. I made the egregious noob mistake of RMA'ing the monitor to the manufacturer rather than Newegg. If and when ASUS support returns my "perfectly functional monitor" to me, I will summarily RMA it to Newegg for refund and try a different display product. I am genuinely disappointed. I based 90% of my decision to purchase this monitor on the many positive reviews that precede mine. None of the poor reviews mention the problem I experienced, which suggests to me that I received the one monitor with an H/V sync problem.
Genuine disappointment

Pros: Attractive design; inexpensive; WPS setup with host router; straightforward browser configuration
Cons: Utterly unreliable; drops/reconnects with devices constantly; requires routine reset either by cycling the unit, or reestablishing WPS with host router.
Overall Review: The reviews for this device are 50/50 at newegg and elsewhere, including commercial review sites. I decided to take a chance. This device is a snap to setup using WPS, after which configuration is completed via its web interface. After updating the firmware I tweaked it for my network. It improved the range of my wireless network noticeably. However, within the first hour of use hosts served by this device would routinely loose, then regain, wireless network access, resulting in much frustration. This seemed to be an inherent characteristic of the device, and no amount of tweaking remedied the problem. The anemic TP-Link support forum is no resource for help, and I don't bother with vendor support. I returned this device for a refund. I do not recommend it as a viable wireless network range extender product. Bottom line: this device sucks.
Completely superflous product

Pros: - Clock is subtle - Ambient temperature feature - Sound quality is reasonable and not at all thin or tinny. - Perfect re-gift.
Cons: - More than competing clock radios that interface with smart devices - Fewer common features than a purpose-built clock radio, and lacks intuitive features - no battery backup - requires a wall adapter - Overall an unnecessary product given the availability of free alarm clock apps
Overall Review: This clock was "re-gifted" to me. I sold it on eeebaay for $20 a couple months later. Here's the thing... if you like a purpose-built, limited feature gadget to add more clutter to your desk (or, one presumes, a night stand) and consume wall outlet space then this doodad fits the bill. The fact is... this thing is utterly pointless. There are umpteen-zillion FREE alarm clock apps available, nearly all of which provide EXACTLY the same features--and more--as this device. Save your money. Seriously. And Newegg... Can you please, please permit the null selection of eggs? I mean really... I must offer a dishonest rating of one egg? ...really?
diabolically sloooooowwwww....

Pros: The diminutive size of this drive makes it ideal where a small form factor for mobile storage is important. storage is quite large (~30gb) within a very small case, and the item is competitively priced.
Cons: sloooooowwwww... two different speed test utilities and anecdotal experience using it with various devices betray a critical flaw in this device: it is absurdly slow. averaged x-fer time is ~6MB/sec (usb 1.1). devices appear to hang for some appreciable amount of time as the respective os loads the file table from the device.
Overall Review: i am genuinely disappointed. i need more of these, but i will not purchase another.
