Super nice!

Corsair Neutron Series GTX 2.5" 120GB SATA III Internal Solid State Drive (SSD) CSSD-N120GBGTXB-BK
Corsair Neutron Series GTX 2.5" 120GB SATA III Internal Solid State Drive (SSD) CSSD-N120GBGTXB-BK

Pros: Slim and fast. Still running SATA 2 setup and noticed a nice pep in performance.

Cons: None!

Overall Review: Still using a SATA 2 board and had a Patriot Inferno 64Gb drive. Needed the space and used a drive clone. Immediately noticed a difference in speed. I wasn't expecting any speed difference but was happily impressed. Applications load pretty fast. SSD drives are still expensive but was pleased by this one. Don't really need to upgrade to a SATA 3 board but it's nice to know I can and get the performance out of this drive if I ever do. My build is over 2 years old and can't upgrade cause of money but still have a time of 4.3 seconds from the time I enter my password on startup and launching the internet. This drive was putting the icing back on the cake for me!

Same problems as other!

XFX GeForce GT 240 512MB DDR3 PCI Express 2.0 x16 Graphics Card GT240XYAFC
XFX GeForce GT 240 512MB DDR3 PCI Express 2.0 x16 Graphics Card GT240XYAFC

Pros: None!

Cons: This card is horrible! Tried many drivers and versions of Windows (XP, Vista and 7) with no avail. Tried alternate PCI-E slot and same problem. Comp froze no matter what I did and come to find out it's this video card. I have my old 8500GS in and not one problem. I've researched for the past few days and there is no fixing the problem so far. Not sure if it's a defect or a driver problem till Nvidia can figure this out. DON'T BUY THIS CARD!!!

Overall Review: At least my first refund experience has gone well with newegg so it's not all that bad......time to search for a new card again

Super awesome drive!

Patriot Inferno 2.5" 60GB SATA II MLC Internal Solid State Drive (SSD) PI60GS25SSDR
Patriot Inferno 2.5" 60GB SATA II MLC Internal Solid State Drive (SSD) PI60GS25SSDR

Pros: Did a lot of research before buying this drive. Tons of SSD drives have fast read but slow write but this one has fast both! At the time I bought this it was a great buy even though a little pricey but better than the other SSD drives of the same capacity. I just use it to run Windows and this drive is crazy fast. Takes 20 seconds from hitting the power button to turn computer on till I can open Firefox and be surfing the internet!!!

Cons: I didn't have any issues with this drive at all that some other people had. No rebooting, no unrecognized devices....nothing! Just plugged it in and it fired right up.

Overall Review: I've owned for nearly a year so I'm not sure if there are any other drives that are comparable in performance while costing less but this drive was well worth the buy!

Super quiet!

Enermax Marathon 80mm Silent PC Case Fan UC-8EB
Enermax Marathon 80mm Silent PC Case Fan UC-8EB

Pros: Really quiet fans. Thought the noise was coming from CPU fan but accidentally left rear vent fan unplugged after regular cleaning and it was so quiet I had to make sure I even turned it on. So the noisy rear vent fan had to go. Added front vent fan along with replacing rear and again, had to check to make sure computer was on cause it was still super quiet with both new fans going!

Cons: None

Overall Review: Kinda though it was dumb that 2 fans are the same cost as one but whatever

Very nice for low cost!

Thermaltake Silent 1156 CLP0552 92mm CPU Cooler For Intel Socket LGA1156
Thermaltake Silent 1156 CLP0552 92mm CPU Cooler For Intel Socket LGA1156

Pros: This fan is exceedingly quiet and runs really cool. The whole thing feels kinda cheap when you get it but honestly it beats out most other high end fans by far. My quad core i5 is OC'd to 4GHz and it runs at 35C at idle at 76F ambient room temp. Seriously that's awesome for a $25 fan. Had it for over a year now and still runs completely silent. Don't be fooled by the low price....honestly I just bought it til I could afford something more high end but a year later and I'm super pleased with this one!

Cons: Kinda big...might cover RAM slots in a microATX board but not sure since I don't have that

Overall Review: Super bang for the buck

For advanced users only!

ASUS V2-M2V890 AMD Socket AM2 VIA K8M890 Barebone
ASUS V2-M2V890 AMD Socket AM2 VIA K8M890 Barebone

Pros: This is a nice combo. The jumpers came preset which saved me like 5 minutes :) But it's a nice mid range computer. Make sure to change the PSU voltage supply to 115V, it comes preset at 230V.

Cons: DON'T BUT THIS UNLESS YOU HAVE VERY HIGH COMPUTER KNOWLEDGE!! The BIOS did not come with the latest update to use the AM2 CPU and the EZ-Flash Utility didn't work right. I've never updated BIOS before and it took me 4 hours to research and test 5 other flash utilities till one worked. Then your Windows install CD needs to have SP2 integrated otherwise it won't install.

Overall Review: It's nice if you know how to flash the BIOS using other utilities and have the time to drudge through the ASUS website to find the updated BIOS and instructions. But please stay away from this unless you really know your way around a computer. Don't let the price fool you!!
