Works great so far
Pros: Even though it says it's for Win 2000/XP only, works great in my new Win 7 machine. I just plugged it in and Windows installed it with no issues. Been using it for over a month, works as well or better that the internal adapters I have on other computers.
Cons: None so far.
Overall Review: If you buy it for a Windows 7 installation, do not install drivers that come with it. Just plug it in and let Windows install what is needed.
OK but issues
Pros: Not terrible, works most of the time.
Cons: Having to deal with intermittent "Windows failed to shut down properly" warnings when turning on the machine with this MB installed. I've removed and replaced all of the components plugged into this board and it still does the same thing, only not all the time. I have no other choice but to blame the MB. Now let's get on to Biostar the company. When I purchased this MB there was a $20 mail in rebate that went along with the deal. I made sure to turn in the correct information along with the what they required to submit the rebate. Mailed it off well within the time frame they stated. It's been nearly 11 weeks now and still nothing from Biostar. These mail in rebate scams are ridiculous. Even though I will continue to buy from Newegg, I doubt that I will ever buy anything from them again that has a Mail in Rebate. If the product is discounted, it should be available without having to jump through hoops that disappear.
Overall Review: I'm sad that Biostar plays these games. I've used their MB's for quite a while and don't think that I will be doing so in the future. If you are considering buying a Biostar MB, make sure you don't have to send in a Mail in Rebate to get it for a decent price.
OK, but...
Pros: Decent picture
Cons: Lousy speakers and very fragile controls.
Overall Review: I've owned this monitor for just about 7 months. It has a decent picture, good enough for web surfing, don't do gaming though. About three days ago, the power button broke. It isn't stuck, feels like the internal switch is mashed. I don't continually turn the monitor on and off, maybe once or twice a day. I contacted ACER support and had to chat with an outsourced customer service person. It's difficult to have a text conversation with a person who has a hard time with the English language. It took me probably 45 minutes to get an RMA. When I received the paperwork from ACER, I was surprised to find that I would have to pay for the shipping to get it fixed. I couldn't believe the restrictions they put on you. I went to UPS and found it was going to cost me over $85 to pack and ship it. They refuse to pay for the shipping. For me, I will not patronize ACER any longer. I would suggest you be wary of them also.
