This review is from: Uniden DECT1363-2BK 1.9 GHz Digital DECT 6.0 2X Handsets Cordless Phones
Pros: These were a great price and much cheaper then replacing the batteries on my old phones. They work great, I have not had to switch a channel yet and they feel solid.
Cons: The main base looks like it can be hung from a wall. However my package didn't come with the bottom plastic piece needed to mount it to the wall. I read the instructions and nothing mentions it. So I'm guessing it’s something I'd have to find on my own.
The other egg deduction is because of the ringers. Why is it that a phone no longer sounds like a phone? Granted these things are annoying as all h311, and I always hear it, but I wish the ringers would sound like a regular phone if I so wanted.
Other Thoughts: I'm still not sure if I should have an extra plastic piece to mount the main base on the wall. However, I ripped the box up to throw it out and could not figure out where they would have even put it!READ FULL REVIEW
This review is from: Microsoft Windows 7 Professional SP1 64-bit
Pros: I ordered this to go back to 7 on a custom desktop. I was lucky enough to be a part of the beta about 2 years ago, so I knew my rig could run it. My XP install was taking about 15 min to start from a cold boot, so it was time to upgrade. The price was finally at an acceptable point so I pulled the trigger. Installing 7 is the smoothest OS install experience I have had yet. Drivers are just found, devices just work and it looks so pretty!
Plus the 64 bit version now sees all 4 gig of my ram.
Asus P5q pro mobo, C2D E8500, 4 gig ram, Radeon HD 4850, 2.5 tb hd, dual screens.
Cons: The price does seem to be a pain, but it needed to be done. The dual screen options are still limited, and getting any lower version would take away RDC.
There still also seems to be a limited amount of 64 bit software to utilize the hardware, but that's not a big deal, though once can dream
Other Thoughts: XP is a dyeing virus riddled mess. Get rid of it and upgrade to windows 7 now! Vista works, but still has strange headache and within another 2 years, I bet Microsoft will want to forget about both. If XP was 98, then Vista is millennium (Yes, I unfortunately tried to run a machine with that garbage on it). That makes 7 the new XP! Trust me; I had my mom using the beta. I let her use my desktop while her laptop was getting repaired. I never told her it had a new experimental OS on it. She was able to do all she needed to do and more without having to stop and ask me for anything. She also easily plugged in her camera, got the photo’s she wanted, emailed them and then loaded up her MP3 player with new songs. I had never installed any of them on my machine. This is the same lady that still has issues with face book! After seeing her fly through 7 without a single hiccup I was sold. Get it now, put it on all of your pcs and live a better, simpler, tech life.READ FULL REVIEW
This review is from: LevelOne GSW-0807 Gigabit Switch
Pros: Does what it says it will. Easy set up, with a sideways power block to save space on my strip. All 8 ports work and the lights aren't too bright to distract me at night.
Plus it's got a snazzy design to boot.
Cons: None. It's a switch, it works or it doesn't. This one works.
Other Thoughts: Bought it for a WHS. Now everything just seems to run smoother in my little subnet. I need to upgrade my router next and see if my whole network will go faster. Will deffinitly keep an eye out for more levelone products!READ FULL REVIEW
