Great HDD
Pros: Great HDDs for the price. Two of them for under 150 bones. SATA 3.0gb/sec. Very quick in XP and Vista. 16MB cache is nice.
Cons: None. Unless you want more space, you really can't complain.
Overall Review: Great price, performance, and reliability from Seagate. Usually bought WD, but these drives were a great deal and have been awesome so far.
Not bad
Pros: Wanted a pair of bluetooth headphones and these were crazy cheap on sale. Vizio is a good brand ... I love their TVs and have good luck with their new lineup of ultrabooks so I gave these a shot. Very cool design and bluetooth connectivity works great. They even kept their connection to my phone between my bedroom and kitchen; that's 3 walls and lots of junk in between. Buttons on the sides actually work with all my devices (have a few pairs of headphones where the volume will only work with certain devices).
Cons: While it is a stylish design, it doesn't fit that well to my head. Have to angle these things to get the ear piece to set properly and even then, sometimes they'll slip off. Definitely knocks an egg off. Would probably knock two off for fit but these are not my main headphones and really, everything else is great.
Overall Review: Would definitely not recommend them at their full $149.99 price. However, on sale around $50, for sure. If you're looking for a decent pair of bluetooth headphones and don't plan to wear them all day, go for these.
Actually good
Pros: This was better than I thought it would be. Truthfully, I bought it because its LOTR and coop. I blew through the campaign on single player, actually couldn't stop playing. That's not to say it doesn't have cons, but overall this game is worth Neweggs $36 pricetag. I enjoyed the story, even though it isn't technically LOTR lore accurate for sure. The powers are cool, and then replayability is pretty high so far.
Cons: Customization as a whole isn't great for an RPG. Some people don't care, some do. I'd like more options for customizations. I also felt like it was anticlimactic. Last boss seemed easy and the last two levels felt short, including ending instantly after boss fight. Also, the fighting system, while good enough, seems too simple. I enjoy games where you can get a more varied combo system than just, quick strike until you get the heavy strike combo icon.
Overall Review: Game has some flaws, but none that ruin the game. I'd really recommend this to anyone, though I'm not sure super hardcore RPG enthusiasts would enjoy it.
Pretty good...
Pros: Having never played any of the warhammer games before I can't compare to older versions. On that note, I think this game is great. The campaign is a lot of fun and skirmishes are a fun way to experience variety. I think the fact that you can co-op the campaign is great for an RTS game. Units are cool and the design is nice. Its definitely not much different than Company of Heroes in its overall design and layout, but that is good for me because I enjoyed CoH.
Cons: I can understand some people wouldn't like having to use both Steam and Windows live for the game, but if you are into gaming, you should really have a Steam account anyway. They have excellent deals and updating through steam is always easy. Windows live can be a pain, but not nearly enough to drop an egg.
Overall Review: I would say, if you like RTS games that have a good campaign but also a fun comp stomp skirmish mode, get this game. If you have a problem with windows live or steam, then you probably want to stay away from this game.
Outstanding
Pros: The speed. You can't even realize it until you set up your first SSD and install your OS and apps. Do a few tweaks for Windows 7 and wow! I have worked with 10k raptor drives and 15k sas drives and they don't even come close to this. Boot time for my machine is now only 15 seconds, and no more waiting for Windows to finish loading once you login. You login and you are good to go, instantly.
Cons: Obviously price vs. storage. For a laptop, I would do this without question. For a desktop, I can understand peoples concern. I use my 80GB for OS and primary programs. Then I have a trusty old 7200rpm hdd to hold older, less important programs. Works just fine for me, although some may not like that.
Overall Review: Get it! If you want to have a truly fast system, it won't matter until you have a SSD. I have an i5 750, 4870s in crossfire and rockin the ddr3 but none of that really reaches its potential if you are waiting on your hard drive all the time ;) Get the SSD!
Um ... Wow
Pros: Visuals and sounds. Actually very impressive this time around. The crowd is fun, especially during home games. If you shoot a three the crowd yells "THRREEEEE" just like in real life and if you make it, they erupt. This version of live has those little things. Playoff atmosphere is actually better. For the first time in the live series, the games usually stay close but aren't annoying. I can still win most games but I don't blow out great teams by 50 points anymore.
Cons: Still can get a bit repetitive. The game still has the patented 'we are not letting you score right now' times, but not horrible. Hard to consistently get good drives. The AI will stop you in the middle of a full speed run and initiate contact in the middle of a dunk that should result in a foul but never does. Definitely doesn't ruin the game, but can get annoying at times.
Overall Review: I have been playing live since 2000. I hadn't bought new since 2006 and didn't even bother to play 2009 version. I was hesitant to buy the 2010 version but reallly wanted to play. Good decision. If you are a fan of a more realistic feel, I recommend. Really, this is the most fun I have had playing a basketball since NBA JAM on Sega!
