Xeon W3680

Pros: I recommended the Xeon W3680 processor for a client workstation upgrade from my Intel i7-950 + Asus P6T7 previous build (programmer wanted a mega-compiling, super workstation) . BIOS upgrade (0601 or better) was all that was necessary and client is extremely happy.
Cons: none
Overall Review: Eventually swapped MoBo with an upgraded version (2.0) from Asus (great support). Processor and board are running cooler (even at high-stress benchmarking) than the i7-950. Considering cost, I'm recommending a new build rather than further upgrades (next generation CPU + SSD minimum)
Rosewill RCR-IM5001 Media Card Reader

Pros: I LIKE!!!! This reader works with a wide variety of cards; I use SD, micro-SD, CF, MS. I haven't had a problem with any of them. I also like the multiple (3) USB ports because I connect multiple USB devices for simultaneous use.
Cons: Often isn't recognized by my Win 7 workstation after it wakes up. Putting it to sleep and waking it again fixes the problem... troublesome but liveable
Overall Review: Read as many of the reviews as you can! Weigh positives and negatives - Ive encountered both in my experience. I can see the negatives in my card but I have never had a serious problem and this reader has met all my expectations... it's not for everyone. I opened my unit to ensure there was insulation between the circuit board and the chassis (a reported problem a while ago). Mine also has the gaps reported in other reviews they are minor in my PC case. This card reader has more functionality than most so I am a happy camper.
