Overall Review: My kid just got licensed and wanted to start driving my Jeep. But the old Jensen head unit in my Jeep blew up (OK more like smoked and then died) about a year ago, and the kid wanted tunes. I chose this Pyle unit because 1) MECHLESS (Jeeps get dirty, and tape/CD players go quickly) 2) it had a clock (kids request) 3) it had BT audio, so we can play music on our phones through this receiver; 4) it had BT phone (this was not clearly stated, and I had to call Pyle, who at first said it did NOT support this, but then said it did. Turns out it DOES, just not as good as I'd like.) This unit had the features I was looking for, and with free Premier shipping and a Visa checkout discount, I got it for >$45. I soldered the wiring harness to the factory harness, then taped the leads up, and plugged it in, and it worked fine. The 1/2 depth made mounting easier, and the unit seems to work great. The test will be 6-12 months from now. Here's hoping that it lasts even 1/2 as long as I expect it to!

Pros: Cheap (before I had to pay another $15 to ship them back) The 1st 2 I bought have worked fine. Improved packaging. These 2 were bubble wrapped, then boxed, then the boxes were put in a larger box with filler paper. (The last 2 I got were just bubble wrapped and put in a box.) I RMA'ed the 1st one on-line and then discovered the 2nd had failed too, but when I called Newegg they were very helpful and changed the RMA quantity to 2.

Cons: 1 arrived DOA, 2nd SMART marked as failing within the 1st day after getting it set up in my array. It went back and forth between failing and failed. Then I start reading new reviews saying these drives don't work in RAID 5 or 10. I'm hoping that isn't true, and I just got some drives damaged by the sub-0 temps and/or an exuberant UPS guy.

Overall Review: I got 2 of these for a RAID 1 array and decided to go RAID 10 with 2 more when a similar deal came back. As luck would have it I was at home on the coldest day of the year (talking to the plumber about my frozen pipes) when the UPS guy dropped the box with these drives in my entry hall. I opened the main box and put it on my desk. Later that night I unpacked the drives and mounted them in my tower. It took me a day or two to get back to updating the MoBo drivers for the on-board RAID to recognize the drives, and that's when I realized the 1st drive was bad. The following day (after I'd requested an RMA for the 1st drive) the 2nd one began reporting as failing or failed. Interestingly, the original 2 still work fine in RAID 0 or 1.

Pros: Ordered on Tuesday AM (7/1). Received it at 11:30 AM on Wednesday (7/2). Fastest free shipping ever!

Overall Review: Got this to replace an old (way too small) OCZ SSD I had running as a cache drive in my unRAID box. Will update the review after I install and "preclear" the drive and see how it works. But just wanted to give props to NewEgg for the fastest free shipping ever. (Which is a little strange, as the stuff I ordered last Friday 6/27, isn't scheduled for delivery until next Monday 7/7)

Overall Review: Got these for my teenage daughter. She broke the plastic frame on one side after a month of use. She taped it together and used it for another year and a half before she pulled the cord out of one side. She still liked them so well that she replaced them with another set of the same ones.
