Pros: Forget about the start menu you wont notice its gone after a few months. Configuring the start screen is easy. Once you get all your tiles where you want them you will probably like it better. Personally i like being able to make the apps i use the most larger and the ones i use less often small. It helps you gain quick access to the stuff you use the most. Also i like the idea of the live tiles, there are not many that are all that cool but there is great potential. This version of win 8 runs super fast on my athlon64X2-5000(2.0ghz)4gig-ddr2-800 It boots faster and loads programs as fast (sometimes faster) than my phemonX2(2.8ghz)4gig-ddr3-1600(win-7) both have seagate 7200rpm hdd I say best windows ever because Microsoft always disappointed me with new versions of windows. Well not always, i was pumped about windows 2000 but that was 15 years ago. Win 8 exceeded my expectations. Its so fast i cant believe it came from Microsoft.

Cons: You cannot turn off you computer easily in win 8. You have to do this funny mouse gesture to get a panel to pop out on the right side of the screen then select settings and then power I recommend making a custom live tile for sleep,power,lock,etc.. I used tile gene a free tile editor from the ms app store

Overall Review: I'm glad i didn't by win 7 again when my old hdd died..

Overall Review: This type of ram (DDR2) is probably going to get more expensive as time goes on. If your thinking about upgrading your old ddr2 to something faster or bigger might as well do it now.
