Good power for 9800gx2 + armor lcs case
Pros: It supplies more than enough power to my armor lcs and all my components. Alot of connectors...more than enough for any pc. It also is very quiet...even under load I do not hear it and my pc is a very quiet pc.
Cons: The little plastic thing....it serves not purpose. I could not get it into my case and my case is made by the same company (thermaltake). The little plastic this is not even essential essential so I am not even worried about it. Also people say that the modular is better. My brother owns the modular 850w one however most of the connectors are connected to each other so you need to put most of them in the modular one. My case has good cable management. ( all armor cases do) so there are no lose wires or anything hanging. Also people complain about the price of this thing however this psu is really efficient and there are minimal fluctuation (82 to 87% efficient).
Overall Review: my build is xfx9800gx2, q6600 processor overclocked to 3.0 , asusp5n-d, Thermaltake liquid cooling system in my thermaltake armor lcs case ,4 gigs of ram (2 sticks), a fan on my north bridge a fan in the back of my case a fan on the side of my case(25 cm) and 2 fans on my radiator
This mouse not as thin as I thought
Pros: It is thinner than a regular mouse but its shaped like an apple mouse. The mouse is just like a mac mouse and thers nothing really all that special to it.
Cons: It is way overpriced for a basic mouse. It is not more or less comfortable than a regular mouse.
Overall Review: I bought the mouse even though I have a nice gaming pc I like a simple mouse. If you want simple get this mouse even though it is very overpriced for what it does.
A great buy
Pros: This card is absolutely amazing period. xfx and other companies make other overclocked cards that are gx2 but to be quite honest this card on air is very overclockable ( mine is running at 730/1800/1106.....again this is on air...not even a 3party cooler. The card also vents out alot of the air through the the dual exaust vents. This card is silent! I thought it would be alot louder while idle but my liquid cooling system is louder than this card....and my pc is very quiet. When you up the fans to about 80 then can you hear the fans.....
Cons: People complain about the size......Its a video card that is two in one card...its going to be big. If you do not have a large case then you might have problems fitting the card in. even with my full tower lcs armor case i could see how people could have problems fitting it in. I cannot really complain about the size however ( If you are a serious computer enthusiast or graphic designer it is just common sense to have a full tower case for add-ons.) I couldn't understand if you knew what this card is and had the money for this card why you wouldn't have a full tower case.
Overall Review: Most likely if you are upgrading to this card you will need a new power supply with an 8pin connector. There is no getting around this you can use two molex connectors and use the molex to 8 pin adapter but unless you have extra molexes just laying around then get a new psu. I want to say you need at least an 850 watt psu but to be quite honest you could run this card with anything 600 and above...under load this thing on my pc only uses like 375 watts with all my other pc stuff included too. Get a name brand psu or even a logisys psu (the green 650 one). armor lcs fultower, asus p5nd sli motherboard, thermaltake 850w toughpower, (non modular) ( I also used the 650 logisys psu it works fine in my apevia case) Liquid cooling system (lcs) 25 cm side fan
Its good but....
Pros: (This is my opinion it is not the say all end all) It is a very visually stunning game I have everything on high and I get good frame rates but of course i have a 9800 gx2 so frame rates are amazing.( I think I might have objects and water on medium and the rest on high). My brother has this game with an 8800gt and the rates are good (fyi you would never need to quad sli for this game you get amazing rates with the gx2 alone). The game plays like a movie like really good visually and the guns are really customizable. I use both the 360 controller and the keyboard....I think its easier to remember stuff of on the keyboard more than the controller....with the 9800gx2 this game plays amazing however there are the random hangups every so often but like 2 every hour of game play .... This game is not addictive so if you are someone who games but has classes to attend you will not lose sleep playing this game...which is a good thing
Cons: If you are not a shooter fan I wouldn't bother getting this game....if you are a border line shooter fan I still would not get this game. I am more of an rpg fan so I think I gravitate towards mass effect more. If it weren't for the visuals I don't think I would have kept playing to be honest. The powers are so intense you could honestly go through most of the game relatively easy. I do own shooters however compared to rainbow and the other shooters I have I do not really think this game is on par game play wise...graphically it blows all other games out of the water. If you have an amazing/semi-amazing pc I would buy just to see what the future of gaming looks like but If you pc is decent/good (im referring to the people with the 8800's) and you are not a shooter fan I would look for a shooter that has other elements to it like real time strategy shooter (company of heroes) or rpg shooter (mass effect).
Overall Review: I do not think I am picking up crysis 2 (warhammer) I do not this added weapons or modifications will make or break the deal for me...my mind is pretty made up. Maybe If they made the game played on more than one island like if the crysis was like all over the world it could change my mind. also if you do not have good reaction time this game is good for you...the suit makes it so that you do not really have to even be worried about getting killed ( this could be either good or bad...enemies even if the take you by surprise and you are outnumbered 10 to 1 you have like a 90% to 95% chance of surviving without really stressing yourself out....the online game play is much better but again its not the best out there there are definitely better online experiences. my build xfx 9800gx2 ( over clocked to 740), quadcore 6600, 4 gigs of ram, asus p5n-d...(an an armor lcs case with thermaltake toughpower 850 watt ps)
A beautiful game
Pros: This game is much better than the 360 version ( I would know I own 2 copies...one for each of my 360's). The interface is so much more easier with the mouse and keyboard however I use the 360 controller sometimes to get that rpg console feel.. The game for pc runs smoother as well as looks much better than the one for 360. It really feels like you are in control of all the aspects of the game. This game is a must buy for any rpg fan...or even a shooter fan.
Cons: People complain about the DRM but bioware fixed that problem like months ago. Now you have to activate it once online and there are no more 10 checkups. As much as I hate that concept but if people were not constantly trying to download the game illegally there would have been no need for bioware to do that originally. If you can afford to build a computer with the minimum specs required to play the game I think you could afford to buy one of the best rpgs of the year. Either way the DRM is gone. I have not ran into any bugs yet and the new free downloadable cainpain is good.
Amazing Product
Pros: Great contrast ratio. I thought I needed a 3000 to 1 screen or something to really show off my new pc however this monitor is graphically stunning. Right now I use it for my PC and my ps3 both of which look amazing on the monitor. 1080p is a great look for my blue ray movies! This monitor is a steal compared to what I thought it would be priced at. Did I mention the monitor is really large.
Cons: some people might complain that there are no dvi ports but I mean this monitor is perfect the way it is. I think it was intended for more serious gamers or people with a multimedia room ( dvi is great but this monitor is more progressive than most monitors in the dvi price range). You cannot go wrong with this monitor. Also there was one dead pixel but other than that. It is perfect and sturdy!
